Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was accused of LYING to Congress in this bombshell testimony

AOC

AOC has been caught in plenty of scandals before. But this could take her down.

Because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was accused of LYING to Congress in this bombshell testimony.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made a living off of lying to the American people.

She is constantly peddling her “Green New Deal” that would send energy prices skyrocketing, hurting the average citizen.

Not only that, but she constantly defends socialist and communist dictators around the world, pretending the problems of their countries are caused by the United States instead of their failed ideology.

But one thing she has done from the beginning that will never change is running cover for any of her political pals who get in trouble.

She’ll even go so far as to LIE in front of Congress to get her way.

During a Congressional Oversight Committee hearing on Twitter censorship on Wednesday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dubbed the Hunter Biden laptop story “half-fake,” and claimed that Twitter does not restrict former President Donald Trump and liberal TikTok users.

“When New York Post first reported in October 2020 that it had obtained contents of a laptop computer, allegedly owned by Joe Biden’s son Hunter… The newspaper wasn’t sharing what it obtained. New York Post had this alleged information and was trying to publish it without any corroboration, without any backup information. They were trying to publish it to Twitter, Twitter did not let them, and now they’re upset.” referring to the anger over the blocking of Twitter accounts that provided links to the alleged corruption report, the New York congresswoman began.

She went on to explain that she believes the article and the efforts to have it banned were the work of “political operatives who sought to inject explosive disinformation” and that they are now “livid” that they were blocked.

“And they want the ability to do it again. They want the ability to inject this again,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“So they’ve dragged a social media platform here in Congress. They’re weaponizing the use of this committee, so that they can do it again. A whole hearing about a 24-hour hiccup in a right-wing political operation. That is why we are here right now.”

The progressive lawmaker went on to protest about the alleged “abuse” of public time and money caused by the hearing, before calling the allegation of Hunter Biden’s dubious business connections in Ukraine and China “half-fake.”

The Hunter Biden laptop story has now been confirmed by multiple credible news outlets, following the lifting of a prohibition on the contents of the original New York Post piece by social media networks such as Twitter.

“We can be talking about health care, we can be talking about bringing down the cost of prescription drugs, we can be talking about abortion rights, civil rights, voting rights, but instead, we’re talking about Hunter Biden’s half-fake laptop story. I mean, this is an embarrassment. But I’ll go into it… Let’s talk about something real.”

Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the Democrats’ “Squad,” a group of progressive representatives that includes Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, Massachusetts’ Ayanna Pressley, and Michigan’s Rashida Tlaib, went on to condemn a rule change made by Twitter after Trump suggested they “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”

The president’s remark, made in July 2019, did not mention any single congresswoman, but Politico claimed that he was “presumably targeting” the socialist rookie congresswomen.

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run,” the president wrote.

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came,” Trump added. “Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

Ocasio-Cortez, finding this insulting, turned to confront former Twitter employee Anika Collier Navaroli, who earlier testified to the House Jan. 6 Committee that the social media network allowed Trump to break the rules, according to The Washington Post.

“…at the time, Twitter’s policy included a specific example, when it came to banned abuse against immigrants — as they specifically included the phrase ‘go back to your country’ or ‘go back to where you came from,’ correct?,” Ocasio-Cortex asked Navaroli, who agreed.

The representative pressed the ex-Twitter employee about the protocol adjustment that allowed Trump’s message to remain online.

“Yes, that’s true — ‘go back to where you came from’ was removed from the content moderation guidance as an example,” Navaroli acknowledged.
