AOC is one of the worst members of Congress. Her radical Leftist views are dangerous for the country.
And a bombshell report exposes Ocasio-Cortez’s scandalous behavior.
Once again, the darling of the progressive left, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, finds herself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Fresh campaign finance reports reveal that the New York Democrat blew nearly $50,000 on swanky hotels and gourmet meals during a third-quarter jaunt to Puerto Rico.
The filings paint a picture of unchecked extravagance. On July 28, her campaign dropped $680.52 for a stay at the opulent Hotel Palacio Provincial in Puerto Rico. This isn’t some budget motel – it’s a “first-class,” “adults only” spot that brags about its historic 19th-century roots with “transcendent hints of the structure’s grand colonial past.”
But that was just the start. Come August 29, another $1,507.26 went to the same luxury pad. Then, on September 29, they really went all out with a staggering $9,440.79 bill at Palacio Provincial. All this while AOC took to social media to blast gentrification in Puerto Rico.
Not content with one fancy hotel, according to Federal Election Commission filings, the campaign shelled out $3,861.20 on August 25 at Hotel El Convento, another gem from the 19th century that promises “old world charm and elegance.” Add it all up, and lodging alone in Puerto Rico hit $15,489.77 from July through September.
Food wasn’t skimped on either. The filings show at least $10,743.13 funneled into meals and catering on August 25 and September 29. That’s the kind of cash that could feed struggling families for months, but apparently, it’s chump change for a self-proclaimed champion of the working class.
Amid this spending spree, AOC let loose at a Bad Bunny concert in San Juan on August 10. Video caught her dancing with fellow Rep. Nydia Velázquez at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
Her campaign didn’t stop at tickets; they poured over $23,000 into “venue rental” at the same arena on June 24 and August 25. Questions swirl about whether this tied directly to the Bad Bunny gigs.
When Fox News broke the story, AOC’s camp fired back with a statement from campaign manager Oliver Hidalgo-Wohlleben. He claimed Ocasio-Cortez “regularly travels to Puerto Rico to support local causes and host events that require both staff and security.”
Hidalgo-Wohlleben doubled down, adding, “She is deeply proud of her investment in grassroots organizing and will continue to be active in advocating for both people on the island and the millions of Puerto Ricans in the diaspora.”
Sounds noble, but does “grassroots” really mean five-figure hotel tabs?
The Puerto Rico excess wasn’t isolated. Back on the mainland, AOC’s campaign kept the luxury train rolling during her “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with socialist ally Sen. Bernie Sanders.
They racked up $6,600 at the Hotel Vermont in Burlington – because nothing says battling the rich like cozying up in boutique digs.
New York got its share too. A cool $2,000 went to lodging at the Thompson Central Park Hotel in Manhattan, plus $3,000 at the Arlo Williamsburg which is located in Brooklyn.
These aren’t hostels for the masses; they’re playgrounds for the privileged.
Dining out? Try $6,300 for a feast at Ama, an Italian spot in D.C.’s Navy Yard. And that’s not all – another $11,500 vanished on eats across D.C., Vermont, the Bronx, and Latham, NY, even including Mr. Ding-a-ling, an ice cream company.
This pattern exposes the glaring disconnect in progressive politics. AOC preaches equality and rails against wealth inequality, but her actions scream entitlement.
In the end, these revelations hit hard for hardworking Americans tired of elite hypocrisy.
AOC’s Puerto Rico romp and mainland indulgences show exactly why trust in Washington erodes – it’s one set of rules for them, another for the rest of America.
