President Biden is living on borrowed time. Any day, the truth about his backdoor deals could come out.
And now James Comer dropped a major bomb on Biden that the White House is freaking out about.
Rep. James Comer (R-KY) anticipated that “very soon” a report detailing criminal allegations against President Joe Biden would be revealed.
Comer appears on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures to provide an update on the House Oversight Committee’s probe of Hunter Biden, the president’s second-eldest son.
As the committee’s chair, Comer stated that the “next step will be accountability for Joe Biden.”
“I think that it’s no secret that Joe Biden’s committed many crimes, and I think that you’re going to see a report very soon. That report is imminent,” Comer said.
“That’ll probably be an interim report that updates everyone on the crimes that that Biden and his administration have committed throughout this investigation and through the years of the Obama-Biden Administration.”
When host Maria Bartiromo asked why the committee won’t utilize its subpoena power to investigate deeper into the president, Comer answered that it isn’t that simple.
“We’ve subpoenaed all the associates. The only person we haven’t talked to is Joe Biden. As you know, it’s hard to subpoena a sitting president, or the Democrats would have done that to Donald Trump,” Comer said.
“But I think what we’ve done in all of our deposition cans and interviews has been very substantive, and it’s going to be very useful in accountability.”
Meanwhile, Hunter Biden is currently defending himself in criminal court against three felony firearms charges.
Biden is accused of lying about his drug use on a government form that permitted him to possess a firearm.
Prosecutors contend that he was irresponsible while in possession of the pistol and disposed of it near a school.
If he is proven guilty, the first son may face months to years in prison. Biden earlier turned down a plea deal on the charges.
There has been talk that this whole Hunter Biden gun charge trial is more of a distraction than anything else.
What’s a few months in jail to Hunter? If he gets convicted and they send him to jail, then many Democrats will say “justice was served” and refuse to look any deeper into his alleged crimes.
Democrats can say that his son has already been punished, even though it is a lesser crime than the ones both Hunter and the president are accused of. They can say Republicans are just re-hashing an old news story.
And for Joe’s part, he made headlines for saying he would “respect” the decision of the court should they find Hunter guilty, including a refusal to pardon him should he be convicted.
It may be all for show. A slap on the wrist to make people forget.
