House Republican Jim Jordan has taken the gloves off. He’s calling it like he sees it.
Because Jim Jordan went on Fox News and ripped Biden’s DOJ to shreds with this truth bomb.
If there’s anything the Biden administration will be remembered for, it’s their totalitarian control of the federal government to use it against their political enemies in anyway they can.
There’s simply no way around the fact that the Biden administration has made executive decisions that no other previous president in modern American history ever dreamed about making. The most stark example of this has to be the Department of Justice, under Joe Biden’s “leadership”, going after the former President of the United States in Donald Trump for crimes that he hasn’t been convicted for.
The rules that the DOJ play by with Biden and friends in the driving seat all come down to “rules for thee but not for me.”
House Republican Jim Jordan from Ohio went on Fox News recently to call out this banana republic form of so-called “justice” and alleged that the DOJ is playing by a double standard.
He argues that the perfect example of this is the Biden administration letting the original author of the fake Steele Dossier (which was used as ammo of the Left to go after Donald Trump) off the hook while an FBI informant who was found to testify falsely about Joe Biden was quick to get indicted by the DOJ.
Alex Smirnov, who in 2020 informed the FBI about purported wrongdoing involving the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, Joe and Hunter Biden, was indicted by special counsel David Weiss on one count of fabricating a document and one count of making misleading statements.
Since former Secret Intelligence Service operative Christopher Steele was not criminally prosecuted for his role in the discredited Steele Dossier – an effort to depose former President Trump — Jordan seemed to imply that this constituted a double standard.
In an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Jim Jordan said he doesn’t “believe that David Weiss had even approached the FBI, looked at this — this issue with this confidential human source.”
“I’m not sure he had done that until he’s named special counsel. You know, they — they’ve had this investigation going for four and a half, five years. So we’ll have to see how that — that all shakes out,” the Ohio Republican added.
Not only that, but Jim Jordan pointed out that Christopher Steele continues to be paid by the federal government despite his lies.
So we have one individual who clearly produced a fake document to be used as a political attack against a sitting U.S. President – Donald Trump – and continues to be paid by the federal government.
The other made false testimonies about sitting U.S. President Joe Biden and immediately gets indicted by the DOJ, no questions asked.
Surely, both should face consequences for their actions, right?
“What I do know is, again, with Christopher Steele, who gives false information about President Trump to the FBI, he continues to get paid,” Jordan continued.
“With this Smirnov guy, he gives false information to the FBI about the Biden’s and he gets indicted. Doesn’t seem to me to be the — the same standard. But again, we’ll have to wait and see.”
