Joe Biden and his family have been running from the law for years. But the jig is finally up.
And Joe Biden’s smoking gun was just exposed by Republicans.
Over the past few months, the House Oversight Committee, led by James Comer, has been digging through documents tied to Joe Biden and his family.
The results are in and they’re even worse than we thought.
After weeks of teasing, James Comer identified nine members of President Biden’s family who allegedly received foreign income on Wednesday.
“Since you asked, I’ll tell you,” Comer (R-Ky.) told a rapt audience of reporters at the Capitol after handing out new bank record evidence proving first son Hunter Biden acquired $1 million from a corrupt Romanian businessman when his dad was vice president.
“Joe Biden’s son [Hunter], Joe Biden’s brother [James], Joe Biden’s brother’s wife [Sara], Hunter Biden’s girlfriend or Beau Biden’s widow [Hallie], however, you want to write that, Hunter Biden’s ex-wife [Kathleen Buhle], Hunter Biden’s current wife [Melissa Cohen], and three children of the president’s son and the president’s brother,” Comer said.
The chairman seemed to hint that just one of Biden’s grandchildren and two of his brother’s children acquired the foreign funds.
“We’re talking about grandchil — a grandchild,” Comer said at the press conference. “That’s odd, most people that work hard every day’s grandchild doesn’t get a wire from a foreign national.”
James Biden has three children, including daughter Caroline, who pleaded guilty in 2018 to making over $100,000 in transactions on a stolen credit card.
Emails from Hunter’s abandoned laptop show Caroline turned up her nose at a $85,000 employment offer that would have allowed her to complete her probationary term near her adored relative in California.
The president’s other brother, Frank Biden, has two children, but Comer did not mention him and it’s unclear why Frank’s daughters, who reportedly work for NBC and as a nurse practitioner, would be involved.
A Comer aide told The Post it is conceivable that further Biden family received foreign money.
Bank records show that $80,000 transferred from Romanian businessman Gabriel Popoviciu from 2015 to 2017 went to accounts merely designated as “Biden,” for example, and a March letter from the committee suggested that $70,000 sent from Chinese corporation CEFC China Energy did as well.
Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden were well-known for years for seeking millions from countries such as China, Mexico, Romania, Russia, and Ukraine — but Comer only recently claimed that other family members were involved.
The Oversight Committee issued a statement on Wednesday morning indicating that Hallie Biden appears to have gotten $10,000 in early 2017 from Popoviciu — before getting another $25,000 later that year as part of Hunter and James Biden’s collaboration with CEFC China Energy.
With Biden’s approval numbers in the mid-thirties, the last thing he needed was another scandal thrown in the mix.
But the real issue here isn’t whether this will affect his chances at being re-elected.
It’s whether or not he and his family will end up in jail.
