Kamala Harris is nose diving after this Democrat Senator betrayed her

Many on the Left want to pretend that Kamala Harris has the nomination in the bag. But that has yet to be seen.

And now Kamala Harris is nose diving after this Democrat Senator betrayed her.

Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), currently in a precarious reelection bid, hinted Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris’ future as the Democratic Party’s nominee is far from certain.

“I think we’re in the middle of a process,” Tester mentioned to the Washington Examiner.

“I don’t think that’s a done deal.”

Tester remains among the few Democratic senators yet to endorse Harris, a notable stance given his vulnerable position this election cycle.

This hesitation starkly contrasts with other Democrats in similar situations, such as Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), who shared the stage with Harris at a Wisconsin rally despite previously dodging appearances with President Joe Biden in her state.

Harris, meanwhile, seems to have the backing of the majority of Democratic National Committee delegates, solidifying her status as the presumptive nominee for the upcoming convention. Yet, Tester remains skeptical about her political destiny.

“We’ll let the process work out, then we’ll figure it out,” he stated. “The process needs to work its way through.”

Republicans have been quick to highlight Tester’s previous support for Harris, noting that as the former head of the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm, he encouraged her 2015 run for the California Senate seat she occupied before becoming vice president.

Now, the GOP is keen to paint Harris as “weird” and a “San Francisco radical.”

“Candidates should not be shy about aggressively tying their opponents to Kamala Harris’ extreme agenda,” urged Jason Thielman, executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, in a strategy memo.

Facing Tester in the upcoming election is former Navy SEAL, Tim Sheehy.

When asked about other potential Democratic presidential candidates, Tester simply replied, “We’ll see who runs.”

This may be more wishful thinking than anything.

Vice President Kamala Harris has managed to secure the backing of the majority of Democratic delegates, putting her in line to be the party’s nominee for president.

A survey conducted by the Associated Press on Monday evening revealed that Harris had garnered endorsements from more than the 1,976 delegates required to clinch the nomination on the first ballot.

This positions Harris to be anointed as the party’s standard bearer, setting up a face-off against Republican Donald Trump in November’s presidential election.

The official declaration will take place when party delegates cast their roll call votes ahead of next month’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago.

Delegates, who are chosen to represent their electoral regions, have given their support to Harris. While their pledges are technically non-binding until the vote, any significant shift in allegiance is highly improbable.
