Ron DeSantis has a meeting in D.C. that’s making Joe Biden sweat bullets

President Biden has turned Ron DeSantis into a political enemy. But he might’ve bit off more than he can chew.

Because Ron DeSantis has a meeting in D.C. that is making Joe Biden sweat bullets.

No matter which way you look at it, conservatives have two very strong choices for President in the 2024 election.

Donald Trump, the presumed front-runner in the Republican primary race, has already demonstrated he’s willing to take on the political class and establishment.

Ron DeSantis, the rising conservative star, has shown a ton of resolve as the Republican Governor of Florida, and he’s been so successful that he’s turned the state into one of the more conservative states in the entire nation.

If you ask Joe Biden and the Democrats who they are more worried about, it’s Ron DeSantis.

Joe Biden and DeSantis have created somewhat of a history with each other, jabbing each other politically here and there over the past couple of years.

While a race between the two would certainly bring fireworks during the election season, Ron DeSantis has not yet announced his candidacy yet.

But Ron DeSantis is taking a trip to Washington, D.C. that has 2024 written all over it that should scare Joe Biden for sure.

According to political insiders at Capitol Hill, Ron DeSantis is taking a trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with major Republicans in Congress, some of which who have already endorsed him, to discuss policy.

The Hill reports:

DeSantis will meet with congressional Republicans and participate in a policy discussion hosted by And to the Republic, a political nonprofit launched earlier this year that is backing the governor’s political ambitions.

The Hill says they received a copy of the invite for the event and noted that three major conservatives in Reps. Thomass Massie (R-KY), Chip Roy (R-TX), and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) will be going to the event with DeSantis.

Thomas Massie, who does not endorse just anyone, recently announced his endorsement of Ron DeSantis for President earlier this month.

Massie said that “America needs a leader who is decisive, respects the Constitution, understands policy, puts family first, and leads by inspiring,” and endorsed DeSantis as that leader to do so.

Chip Roy has also endorsed Ron DeSantis for President, and Roy is also another Republican who is quite conservative with his endorsements.

The topic of the meeting being policy could show that these conservative and libertarian-esque members of Congress are looking to lay down the groundwork for Ron DeSantis to have Congressional success should he take the White House from Biden in 2024.

DeSantis has been picking up steam on the regional level as he’s been traveling to areas like New Hampshire and Nevada, as well as picking up endorsements on the state level from Republicans.

On top of that, a Ron DeSantis supporting super PAC called “Never Back Down” raised more than $30 million in a little less than a month since its start.

Ultimately, Ron DeSantis just might be the dark horse that everyone is trying to count out because they don’t to have to run against him. That’s particularly true for Joe Biden.
