Top Democratic strategist goes scorched earth on this Leftist candidate

The Left desperately wants to become more unified. But they keep going at each other’s throats.

And a top Democratic strategist went scorched earth on this Leftist candidate.

Democratic strategist James Carville didn’t hold back on the Politicon podcast this Thursday, ripping into Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) for putting her own spotlight ahead of the everyday folks she’s supposed to serve. In a no-nonsense takedown, Carville pointed out how Crockett’s Senate ambitions in Texas seem more about her ego than the voters’ needs.

Carville kicked things off by acknowledging Crockett’s smarts and drive, but he quickly pivoted to the core problem. “Jasmine Crockett first of all, she seems like she’s well-educated and things like that. She’s highly — she’s got a lot of energy, but she to me, to me, she violates the first rule of politics. And that is in politics we always make it about the voters and never about yourself. You listen to her talk. It’s a lot more about herself than it is to voters.”

This critique hits hard in a state like Texas, where real conservatives know that politicians who chase fame over fixing problems get nowhere fast. Carville’s words expose the typical Democrat playbook: all talk, no walk when it comes to connecting with working-class Americans.

He didn’t stop there, calling out how Republicans are already crowing about polls showing Crockett’s weaknesses.

“And Republicans are bragging. And there’s probably some truth to it that they put a poll out showing that, of course, you could take a poll now, Harris and Biden will be ahead because people just you notice that anybody in the world, as long as you’ve been covering politics and doing polling as kind of early polling, doesn’t mean anything. And she said she was. She saw the polls and she thought she had to get in.”

Those on the Right have long warned about these self-serving liberals who jump into races based on fleeting hype rather than genuine grassroots support. Carville’s honesty here is a breath of fresh air, even coming from the Left.

Diving deeper, Carville hammered Crockett’s safe seat in a heavily blue district. “I’m just telling you, she she lives in a plus 24 represents a plus 24 Democratic district. I would like a lot more if she tried to help Democrat two and plus three Republican districts. As long as you can get, you can stay in Congress as long as you want.”

This is classic insider politics – cozy up in an easy district, rack up media appearances, but ignore the battleground areas where real change happens.

Carville urged Crockett to focus on flipping tough seats instead of hogging the limelight. “You can get all the hits. You can get all the clicks you can get on all of the TV shows. You can get in as long as you’re polemic, but you’re not helping very much.”

Crockett’s style screams “me first,” which is why she’s floundering outside her bubble.

Carville even brought up Tennessee as proof of what happens when Democrats prioritize clicks over strategy. “And the evidence of that was in Tennessee.”

Lessons from red states like Tennessee show that fiery rhetoric without substance crashes and burns. Carville’s reference drives home how out-of-touch Crockett truly is.

Wrapping up his roast, Carville laid it out plain: winning isn’t about viral moments or quick cash grabs. “What wins elections is not sitting there talking in about yourself when winning elections is not how many clicks you get or how much overnight fundraising you do.”

Carville doubled down on Crockett’s shortcomings in reading the room. “When elections is being part of framing issues and understanding where people are coming from. And I don’t think Congressman Crockett is very good at that. I’ll be very frank.”

Frank talk like this exposes the Democrat elite’s disconnect from heartland values. In Texas, voters want fighters who get their struggles instead of someone who showboats.

As the Senate race heats up, Carville’s blunt assessment could spell trouble for Crockett. Republicans are poised to capitalize on her self-centered approach.

This episode on Politicon serves as a wake-up call for Democrats, but it’s music to the ears of Right who see through the facade.

Crockett’s bid might just fizzle out, proving once again that authenticity trumps ambition every time.
