Dr. Fauci had everyone fooled when he said he was “stepping down.” Everyone thought he was finally retiring.
But this U.S. Senator just blew the cover on Dr. Fauci’s new federal job.
Dr. Anthony Fauci had spats with quite a few congressmen from both sides of the aisle during his time as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), especially in 2020.
One U.S. Senator, in particular, never let him off the hook easily and held Fauci’s feet to the fire.
That, of course, was Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). And it seems he’s still on Dr. Fauci’s case.
You see, Dr. Fauci announced last year that he was going to be stepping down as the NIAID director in December of 2022, which he did.
Many immediately took this to mean that, at 82 years old, he was finally going to be stepping down as a federal employee all together and off the taxpayer’s books.
But that may not be the case after all, as new evidence from Rand Paul suggests that Fauci may still be receiving federal taxpayer dollars in a new unknown position within the federal government.
Appearing on Fox News, Rand Paul discussed this cover-up with host Sean Hannity.
“There’s a massive cover-up going on, and the lead in all of the cover-up has been Fauci,” Senator Paul said.
Paul said he and his team has intel that says Fauci is still working for the government.
“We now have information that he’s still working for government, even though he says he’s retired,” he added.
The U.S. Senator from Kentucky said that he believes that Fauci is intentionally doing this to get out of the public eye and stay away from consequences of investigations.
That way, Fauci continues to work for the federal government but doesn’t get the press that he used to and still maintains federal protections.
“It is my belief that he is worried about being indicted, and so he continues to work, so he will get legal protection under the federal government,” Paul said.
Paul says he wants to know if Fauci is still being detailed as a high-level federal employee.
“This is wrong on every level of it, and we are going to get to the bottom of it. We are sending a letter to find out what the actual status of his employment is. Is he retired? Is he still getting a federal detail?” Paul asked.
Rand Paul also added that he has concerns that everything is leading to Dr. Anthony Fauci, including the origins of COVID-19.
“At the top of every sort of concern we have it’s Tony Fauci.”
Interestingly, in May of 2020, National Geographic published an exclusive interview they had with Dr. Anthony Fauci where Fauci said that there was “no scientific evidence” that the COVID-19 virus came from a Chinese lab.
Donald Trump and conservatives were regularly laughed at by the Democrats and the Fake News Media for even suggesting as much.
But as we now know, the virus very likely came out of a lab leak from China, at least according to the investigations of several U.S. federal agencies like the FBI and the Department of Energy.
Dr. Fauci should be questioned about why he said there was “no scientific evidence” that this was the case.
Like Senator Rand Paul suggested, this could be Fauci’s way of staying low to get away from investigations and probes regarding the COVID-19 virus and his practice during the pandemic.
