Donald Trump makes a stunning 2028 announcement that’s turned the political world on its head

Trump has finally addressed the rumors. This is what many have been waiting for.

And Donald Trump makes a stunning 2028 announcement that’s turned the political world on its head.

President Donald Trump dropped some major truth bombs on Monday, making it crystal clear he’s not about to play games with the Constitution by jumping on as Vice President JD Vance’s running mate just to snag a third term.

Instead, the boss is eyeing a straight-up showdown in 2028, maybe even taking on New York’s Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. This comes straight from the man himself during a no-holds-barred chat with reporters.

Flying high on Air Force One headed to Tokyo for big-league talks with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Trump shut down the wild idea floated by his old strategist Steve Bannon.

Bannon had teased in an Economist interview that there’s some master plan brewing to land Trump a third go-round in the White House.

“I would love to do it. I have my best numbers ever, it’s very terrible, I have my best numbers,” Trump declared, sounding as confident as ever. And why not? His approval rating sits at a solid 45.1% per the RealClearPolitics average – not bad for a leader who’s been battling the swamp non-stop.

Trump’s been teasing this 2028 vibe for a while now, even rolling out those “Trump 2028” hats that drive the left absolutely nuts. It’s his way of staying in the fight, dodging that lame-duck label, and keeping the Democrats on their toes with some classic Trump trolling.

But Bannon doubled down, claiming “he’s going to get a third term… at the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is. But there’s a plan.”

“I think the people wouldn’t like that. It’s too cute. It wouldn’t be right,” he told the press pack on the plane.

Shifting gears, Trump hyped up a potential dream team for the GOP in the next cycle: Vance teaming up with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He called them “unstoppable,” and honestly, who could argue?

Yet, the president isn’t slamming the door on his own comeback. He’s leaving that option wide open, ready to jump back in if the moment calls for it. America’s fighters don’t quit, and Trump’s no exception.

Then he unloaded on the opposition, spotlighting their so-called stars. “All I can tell you is that we have a great group of people, which they don’t. They have [Texas Rep.] Jasmine Crockett, a low IQ person. They have AOC who is low IQ. You give her an IQ test, have her pass the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed, I took very hard,” he blasted.

“Let AOC go against Trump. Let Jasmine go against Trump.” Trump’s throwing down the gauntlet, daring these lightweight Dems to step up and face a real leader.

Flash back to August, when Trump told CNBC he would “probably not” chase a third term. But rewind to March, and he was dead serious on NBC, saying he was “not joking” about another run.

During the same Air Force One session, Trump casually mentioned getting an MRI during his recent annual physical. He kept the details close but assured everyone “it was perfect.”

This whole episode shows Trump’s unbreakable spirit. At 79, he’s got the energy of a guy half his age and plotting moves that could reshape the political landscape.

The left might scoff, but real Americans see a president who’s all about winning for the people.
