Liz Cheney’s presidential announcement threw the 2024 race into total chaos

Cheney may be the mother of all RINOs. Now she’s doing everything possible to hurt Trump and the Republican Party.

And Liz Cheney’s presidential announcement just threw the 2024 race into total chaos.

Former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) stated in an interview over the weekend that she may still run in the 2024 presidential election, despite the fact that the process is already well started.

Cheney made the statements during a Sunday CNN State of the Union interview with Jake Tapper, where he discussed the situation of the election.

“I haven’t endorsed anybody in this presidential race, certainly would never support Donald Trump,” she was quoted as saying.

“And we know what Donald Trump will do, because he’s telling us every day. And anybody who has spent any time overseas, who has spent any time studying the history of autocracies and of autocrats knows we have to listen to what Donald Trump’s saying.”

Tapper reacted by asking, “Are you still considering it, or would you rule it out?”

“I haven’t made any decisions about it yet,” Cheney replied.

“I’m going to do whatever is necessary to defeat Donald Trump.”

Tapper wondered whether Cheney would support Biden over Trump.

“I’m not going to make any announcements or endorsements this morning,” she replied.

“But the most important thing is to defeat Donald Trump, and I will do whatever, whatever it takes to do that.”

Cheney stated that it is not “a hard call at all” to support former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley over Trump in the Republican Party primary.

WATCH:

Unfortunately for Cheney, the Republican Party’s train has already left without her.

According to FiveThirtyEight polling, Trump holds a commanding 77.7% of Republican support nationwide to Nikki Haley’s 16.6%.

The only way Cheney could do anything to harm Trump is if she runs as a third party.

And even then, she may peel more Democrats from Biden than Republicans from Trump.
