The radical Left continues to throw everything they have at Donald Trump. But he is not so easily thwarted.
And now this newest Colorado development has completely upset the schemes of the Left.
The road to 2024 just got treacherous for Donald Trump, thanks to a politically-charged landmine planted in Colorado.
Secretary of State Jena Griswold, known for her staunch opposition to the former president, dropped a bombshell:
Trump will appear on the state’s primary ballot, but with a partisan asterisk.
Trump’s candidacy hangs by a thread, yanked at by a recent Colorado Supreme Court ruling.
Fueled by the 14th Amendment’s disqualification clause for insurrections, the 4-3 decision deemed Trump ineligible to run.
This deeply-controversial interpretation of history remains under appeal, leaving Trump’s Colorado fate in a legal limbo.
Griswold, however, seems to relish the drama.
“The Colorado Supreme Court got it right,” she declared, her statement dripping with partisan glee.
Her hasty call for the U.S. Supreme Court to “act quickly” reeks of an attempt to permanently sideline Trump before voters even get a chance to weigh in.
But the Colorado Republican Party is not taking this lying down.
In a fiery petition to the U.S. Supreme Court, they accuse Griswold of an “unprecedented disregard” for both party autonomy and the sacred right of voters to choose their representatives.
This legal fight promises to be epic, with the very foundations of free elections hanging in the balance.
If the U.S. Supreme Court validates the Colorado ruling, it would be a devastating blow to Trump’s 2024 hopes in the state.
Colorado, once reliably red, has become a crucial swing state. Losing it could severely cramp Trump’s path to victory.
However, a Supreme Court reversal would be a seismic event, shattering the Left’s carefully constructed narrative and allowing Trump back into the Colorado race.
His return would undoubtedly inject a potent dose of reality into an election already brimming with ideological warfare.
The stakes in this Colorado skirmish go far beyond a single state. It’s a battle for the very soul of American democracy.
Can voters choose their representatives freely, or will activist judges and bureaucrats dictate who can and cannot run for office?
The answer lies in the halls of the U.S. Supreme Court. The weeks and months ahead will be a legal thriller, watched with bated breath by millions.
This is not just about Donald Trump – it’s about whether the American people still have a say in who leads their nation.
