The election is basically wrapped up. But there’s still time for eleventh hour shifts.
That’s why the Trump campaign was just blindsided by what was posted online for all to see.
Buzz Aldrin Endorses Trump for 2024 Presidential Election
In a recent post on X, Buzz Aldrin, the former astronaut and the second person to walk on the moon, announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. Aldrin expressed his appreciation for the Trump administration’s focus on space exploration, particularly the establishment of the Space Force, and emphasized the importance of government commitment to space initiatives.
Aldrin noted, “Over time, I have seen our government’s approach to space wax and wane. But under the first Trump Administration, I was impressed to see how human space exploration was elevated as a policy of high importance again. Under President Trump’s first term, America saw a revitalized interest in Space, and his Administration reignited national efforts to get back to the Moon, and push on to Mars.”
He elaborated on the pressing challenges facing America today, writing, “America is facing serious and difficult challenges both at home and abroad. The Presidency requires clarity in judgement, decisiveness, and calm under pressure that few have a natural ability to manage, or the life experience to successfully undertake. It is a job where decisions are made that routinely involve American lives – some urgently but not without thought.”
A half-Century ago, it was an honor to serve my country in the effort to put a human being on the Moon. I am proud of what we accomplished then and I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of an enduring human presence in space – it is a calling that runs…

Aldrin’s endorsement, which came with only six days remaining until election night, highlighted the importance of leadership in times of uncertainty. “In this election, we have a choice and we all have one vote,” he said. “For some, the choice may not be easy – but in times of uncertainty real leaders are most needed – to guide and inspire a people, to push through the noise, recognize what really matters, and accomplish missions critical to all citizens.”
This endorsement aligns with a wave of support for Trump from various political figures and organizations. Recently, Mayor Amer Ghalib of Hamtramck, Michigan, endorsed Trump, and he has also garnered backing from steelworkers in Pennsylvania, a critical swing state. Additionally, hundreds of former national security officials have expressed their support for the former president.
Elon Musk, the billionaire and SpaceX founder, endorsed Trump in July and has participated in several campaign events for the Republican candidate. Trump also announced in September that, if reelected, Musk would lead a Government Efficiency Commission.
Amidst this political landscape, major media outlets like The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times have faced criticism for choosing not to endorse any presidential candidates, leading to subscription cancellations and employee departures.
Buzz Aldrin, who participated in the historic Apollo 11 mission in 1969, was the first astronaut to hold a doctoral degree. He recently celebrated his 93rd birthday with the announcement of his marriage to Dr. Anca Faur in 2023.
The endorsement from Buzz Aldrin is interesting for a few reasons, not least because he is one of the Democrat-friendly celebrities who fully endorsed Barack Obama when he was running for office in 2008. In 2016, Aldrin did not even endorse anyone.
Now, in 2024 in a super close election, Aldrin has surprised many with his endorsement for Donald Trump at the last minute. This is simply not an endorsement anyone could have predicted eight or sixteen years ago. It’s yet another example of those who are so disaffected by the modern establishment Democrat Party choosing to put their trust in a Donald Trump-led future.
Trump & Harris Both Receive Major Endorsements
Kamala Harris also earned the endorsement of a major name this week when Arnold Schwarzenegger posted online that he would be endorsing Harris for President rather than Donald Trump.
It’s unlikely that these endorsements will have a major impact on the outcome of the election, but it’s possible. It’s entirely possible that a swing state like Pennsylvania could come down to just a handful of votes. All it takes is for super fans of Buzz Aldrin or Schwarzenegger who were on the fence to tip the scales. Especially in a sea of millions upon millions of votes.
You can have fake action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger.
We have real action hero, the man who walked on the moon, Buzz Aldrin. https://t.co/9TENWrAOhr
