Bill Clinton defends President Trump in the most bizarre turn of events

Clinton and Trump aren’t exactly pals. But maybe that’s about to change.

Because Bill Clinton defended President Trump in the most bizarre turn of events.

In a jaw-dropping moment that has the swamp scrambling, former President Bill Clinton stepped up during his recent Jeffrey Epstein deposition and delivered a defense of Donald Trump right in front of the House Oversight Committee.

Ranking Democrat Robert Garcia of California tried to bait him with questions about whether Trump deserved the same scrutiny regarding Epstein.

Clinton shot back, making it crystal clear that Trump never gave him any reason to suspect wrongdoing.

Clinton replied, “That’s for you to decide, but he did know him well.”

He then revealed they once “had a brief discussion” about Epstein years ago, but what came next likely left Democrats and even some of Clinton’s own lawyers squirming in their seats.

After Garcia wrapped up his questions, Clinton refused to let the moment pass and launched into a longer explanation, as if he couldn’t stand by while the record stayed incomplete.

“I hate this because I don’t want to inject anything,” Clinton stated.

“But I do not want to leave the impression — but since there was no follow-up question, the president never — this is 20-something years ago — never said anything to me to make me think he was involved with anything with regard to Epstein either.”

“He just didn’t,” Clinton continued. “He just said, ‘We were friends, and then we had a falling out over a land deal or a property deal.’”

The two leaders had chatted about Epstein while golfing on Trump’s course back in 2002 or 2003, Clinton recalled. He made it plain that Trump brought up their shared history but only to note how a simple property dispute ended the friendship.

“He somehow knew I had flown in Jeffrey Epstein’s aircraft and he said, ‘We had some great times over the years, but we fell out all because of a real estate deal,’” Clinton said.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer seized on the testimony right away, telling reporters during a recess that Clinton had effectively cleared the air on Trump by stating the president “has never said anything to me to make it seem like he was involved.”

Of course, Garcia rushed out to spin it differently, claiming Comer’s summary missed some nuance.

“President Clinton did bring up some additional information about some discussions with President Trump. I think the way Chairman Comer described it, I don’t think is a complete accurate description of what actually was said,” Garcia stated to reporters.

But Clinton doubled down later in the session, leaving zero room for doubt about what he actually witnessed.

He explained that he’s got “no information that [Trump] did anything wrong.”

“I just want it all out there,” Clinton continued. “I want everybody to get it all out there and let everybody see where we are.”
