CNN torched Democrats’ hopes with a devastating on-air humiliation

The Left has an uphill battle. And there may be no fixing it.

Because CNN torched Democrats’ hopes with a devastating on-air humiliation.

CNN’s Harry Enten Dismantles Biden’s Claim of Winning Re-Election

CNN senior political data reporter Harry Enten didn’t hold back when addressing President Biden’s recent claim that he could have won re-election if he had stayed in the 2024 race.

Biden’s statement has sparked controversy, especially after a series of Democrats have attempted to speculate on what could have been if the president had remained in the race following his decision to drop out in July.

In an interview with USA Today this week, Biden was asked if he thought he could have won the 2024 election if he had not exited the race.

His response was, “It’s presumptuous to say that, but I think yes.” The interview summarized that Biden further justified his view, stating it was based on polling data he had reviewed.

However, Enten quickly pushed back against Biden’s assertion, calling the claim “flat-out bonkers.”

Enten Destroys Biden’s Polling Claim: “Flat-Out Bonkers”

Harry Enten didn’t mince words when refuting Biden’s belief that he could have won in 2024. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Enten said, “Based on the polling data, I categorize Biden’s statement that he could have beaten Trump as ‘flat out bonkers.’”

Enten’s analysis showed that, at the time Biden dropped out of the race, he was already trailing Donald Trump by significant margins.

“Biden was well behind Trump when he dropped out,” Enten noted. “Biden never led in all of 2024. And no incumbent president who was anywhere near as unpopular as Biden has ever won.”

The Polling Data Doesn’t Lie: Biden Never Led in 2024

Enten dove deeper into the polling numbers to further disprove Biden’s claims. In a video accompanying his X post, the CNN reporter highlighted key battleground states, such as those in the Great Lakes region, where Trump had commanding leads.

“Donald Trump ahead in all 3,” Enten pointed out, showing clear polling data that indicated Trump was leading Biden by substantial margins in states critical to winning the election.

“But it’s not just that Trump was ahead,” Enten continued. “He was ahead by a lot in these key battleground states.”

Enten’s analysis didn’t stop there. He expanded the scope of the polling data to show that Biden never even managed to lead Trump at any point in 2024.

“So let’s look at the entire 2024 campaign, ‘Days Biden led Trump in 2024, when Biden was still in the race,'” he said, as he pointed to a huge, empty “0” on the screen. “Get this. Zero! Nada! No days! No days was Biden ahead of Donald Trump.”

The Bottom Line: Biden Was Always Behind, and Likely Would Have Stayed There

Enten also took aim at the idea that an incumbent president, especially one as unpopular as Biden, could have turned things around. He showed that historically, no president with a negative approval rating has won re-election. Biden, at the time of his exit, was not only trailing Trump in polling but had little to no hope of closing the gap.

“The bottom line is this: Joe Biden was behind, he had always been behind and he most likely would have stayed behind,” Enten concluded. His blunt assessment made it clear that Biden’s belief in his hypothetical victory was based on wishful thinking rather than reality.

While Biden may continue to entertain the notion that he could have won in 2024, the data says otherwise.

As Enten’s analysis shows, Biden was consistently trailing Trump across key battleground states, never led in the polls, and had no viable path to a comeback. In the world of political data, there’s no room for speculation—only facts. And according to the numbers, Biden’s claim doesn’t hold water.
