Deranged socialist announces plan to contact Trump through high stakes phone call

Donald Trump’s enemies are becoming desperate. They can’t afford to get further on his bad side.

And a deranged socialist announces their plan to contact Trump through a high stakes phone call.

New York City’s incoming mayor, Zohran Mamdani, a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist, is already dialing up President Donald Trump in a bid to salvage the city’s future. Fresh off his election win, Mamdani insists that building ties with the White House is key to getting things done for the Big Apple.

In a sit-down with NBC New York’s Melissa Russo, Mamdani laid out his game plan, stressing the need to dive headfirst into the job. He made it clear that serving over eight million New Yorkers demands a no-nonsense approach, even if it means teaming up with folks on the other side of the aisle.

“I will be proactive in the work that I do, and I think that is because the responsibility I hold to 8.5 million people being their mayor,” Mamdani stated.

“It is important that you are open to working with anyone, no matter what disagreements you may have. And, I’ve said this when it pertains to President Trump, that President Trump wants to speak about lowering the cost of living or delivering cheaper groceries like he ran on, I’m there to have that conversation.”

But Mamdani drew a line, claiming past leaders chatted with Trump just to line their own pockets, ignoring everyday folks.

“The distinction will be that previous administrations have looked to have that conversation to the benefit of themselves, in the expense of the people that we look to serve,” he said.

When pressed on his next move, Mamdani confirmed he’s picking up the phone soon. He plans to contact the White House before he even steps into City Hall, seeing this link as make-or-break for New York’s wins.

“This is a relationship that will be critical to the success of this city,” Mamdani stated.

Outlining his pitch to Trump, Mamdani said he’d stress his commitment to all New Yorkers. He’d assure the president that collaboration is on the table whenever it helps the people who call the city home.

Yet, this olive branch comes after Mamdani’s victory speech, where he took shots at Trump, daring him to amp up the fight. President Trump called it a rocky launch for the new mayor.

In a chat with Fox News’s Bret Baier, Trump blasted Mamdani’s tone. “It was a very angry speech, certainly angry toward me,” the president said.

Trump advised Mamdani to play nice, reminding him who’s holding the cards on federal approvals. “I think he should be very nice to me. You know, I’m the one that sort of has to approve a lot of things coming for him. So, he’s off to a bad start.”

Mamdani’s track record screams far-left extremism, from pushing government takeover of grocery stores to yanking cops from handling family fights. He’s also dead set on shielding illegal immigrants, vowing to fight for their rights in the city.

On top of that, Mamdani has slammed Trump’s team for supposedly attacking free speech and basic freedoms during ICE operations.

After trouncing ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo and GOP challenger Curtis Sliwa, Mamdani’s win prompted Trump to frame the bigger picture. The president called it a stark choice for America: dive into communist chaos or stick with tried-and-true American values.

This clash spotlights the deep divide in New York politics, where a radical like Mamdani now scrambles for Trump’s backing. Will the socialist bend to reality, or will his agenda crash against the president’s no-compromise stance?

As Mamdani gears up for that call, everyday New Yorkers watch closely, hoping common sense prevails over pie-in-the-sky schemes. Trump’s firm hand could steer the city away from leftist pitfalls.
