Trump isn’t playing games this time. And no one is getting in his way.
Now Donald Trump activated the National Guard in a move that left Democrats hysterical.
Decisive Response to Urban Unrest
President Donald Trump took swift action by deploying National Guard troops to Los Angeles on Sunday morning to curb riots erupting over immigration enforcement operations.
This bold move reflects the administration’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace and protecting federal agents from violent opposition, ensuring that law and order prevail in the face of chaos.
“#USNORTHCOM can confirm that elements of the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from the California National Guard have begun deploying to the Los Angeles area, with some already on the ground. Additional information will be provided as units are identified and deployed,” Northern Command posted on X.
Strategic Deployment to Secure Key Areas
The 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, under Trump’s directive, has established a strong presence across Los Angeles, with 2,000 troops ordered to the region.
Guardsmen are positioned at critical sites, including near City Hall and a federal detainment facility that was besieged by thousands of protesters on Friday.
The demonstration, which turned volatile, was broken up by police, but the National Guard’s deployment reinforces the federal government’s resolve to safeguard communities and support lawful immigration efforts against disruptive agitators.
“Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes and unrest. We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their VERY SLOW PERMITTING disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to to handle the task,” the president said.
Firm Stance Against Lawlessness
President Trump, in a Truth Social post, praised the National Guard’s efforts while condemning local leadership for their failure to manage the crisis.
He announced a new policy banning masks at protests, questioning the motives of those hiding their identities.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth further bolstered the response by placing Marines at Camp Pendleton on high alert, ready to assist if violence escalates.
The weekend saw rioters—some brandishing foreign flags—engage in arson, property damage, and attacks on law enforcement, including an assault that injured a Customs and Border Patrol agent. The administration’s proactive measures signal a no-tolerance approach to such disorder.
“These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will NOT BE TOLERATED. Also, from now on, MASKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to be worn at protests. What do these people have to hide, and why??? Again, thank you to the National Guard for a job well done!” he added.
“The @DeptofDefense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles. And, if violence continues, active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized — they are on high alert,” Hegseth said.
