The radical Left are always crossing the line. It’s in their DNA.
And a former MSNBC host launched a brutal attack on Charlie Kirk’s widow.
Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest 2025 became the latest battleground where far-left voices like Joy Reid can’t resist launching their tired attacks.
TPUSA president Erika Kirk, a fierce advocate for American values, took a light-hearted jab at Reid during her opening remarks, suggesting the MSNBC alum could use a “really good hug” – even offering to touch the back of her head. This was Kirk’s clever comeback to Reid’s earlier smears about Kirk’s hug with Vice President JD Vance at a TPUSA event.
Reid, never one to back down from stirring the pot, fired back on her podcast Friday, doubling down on her bizarre fixation with Kirk’s appearance and actions.
She described Kirk as looking “very intimate” with Vance “in her saucy hot pants” and outright rejected Kirk’s hug offer with a venomous tone that reeks of division.
“The last thing I will say to Erika Kirk is this: Dear young lady, I don’t need a hug from you,” Reid stated.
“First of all, I would never let you get close enough to hug me ’cause I don’t trust you. And second of all, I don’t know if anybody ever told you – you’re pretty young – but don’t be offering to touch Black women’s hair. We don’t allow it. This is not the 19-teens. It’s not the 1920s or the 1930s. You cannot come up to me, touch me, or touch my hair. It won’t go. I don’t allow it. So, don’t offer to do that because that’s not going to happen.”
This outburst from Reid isn’t just petty – it’s a classic example of the left playing the race card to shut down any real conversation.
Kirk’s joke was innocent fun, poking at Reid’s own over-the-top criticism, but Reid twists it into some outdated racial slight. It’s the kind of tactic that divides Americans instead of uniting us.
Adding fuel to her own fire, Reid defended her disgusting insinuation that Vance might ditch his wife, Usha Vance, for a “White queen” like Kirk to please the MAGA crowd.
“MAGA is the one doing the racism. Not me. All I’m saying is the ultimate MAGA fairytale would be for JD to leave Usha Vance alone and go run off with Charlie Kirk’s widow. It brings like the houses of MAGA together,” Reid stated.
Reid didn’t stop there; she went after Kirk’s personal life, mocking her as a working single mom in a way that exposes the left’s fake feminism.
She told Kirk to set her sights on appealing to “White Christian nationalists” while juggling her role as a mom without a father figure at home – a low blow that ignores the strength of conservative women.
“You need to take care of minding your business, which is to keep that $80 million rolling in and figure out how you’re going to get those White Christian nationalists who follow Turning Point USA to understand why you working and not home with your children who now don’t have a daddy,” Reid declared. “You are now a single mom, which they oppose.”
This hypocrisy from Reid is laughable. The left preaches empowerment for women, but when a conservative like Kirk steps up as a leader and provider, they tear her down.
Kirk embodies the grit of American moms who balance family and fighting for the country’s future – values that real patriots admire.
Joy Reid continued her rant, saying, “You’re going to have to now figure out how you’re going to explain to your Turning Point USA base why you working and why you out rubbing on JD Vance’s back of his head and offering to rub on the back of mine instead of home with your kids because their ideology is that your behind should be in your house. That’s all I’m going to say.”
At its core, this spat highlights how out-of-touch elites like Reid are with everyday folks. While TPUSA rallies thousands for pro-America causes, Reid sits in her echo chamber, lobbing insults.
