President Biden is fighting for his political life. But he’s been dealt another loss.
Because this GOP major announcement has Joe Biden seizing in rage.
Have you ever thought it interesting that the Democrats continue to proclaim to be the party of “diversity” even though the vast majority of their top presidential candidates are almost always white men who are definitely on the back nine of their careers?
Not only that, but the Democrats quite literally nominated Joe Biden who would become the oldest elected U.S. president in history by a fairly significant margin. So the “diversity” claim doesn’t really add up.
That’s been a serious issue for Joe Biden and the Democrats in recent months and years as he seeks a second term in the White House and will likely be taking on former President Donald Trump once again.
Even Democrat voters are indicating in polls and surveys that they honestly don’t want Joe Biden to get a second term. There’s a reason why Joe Biden’s approval ratings are in the low thirties. That means many of his own 2020 voters are fed up.
Which presents Republicans with a golden opportunity this election year that should not be passed up in anyway whatsoever.
The Republicans can flip the script on who the party of “diversity” truly is and cement themselves as the party who believes in the diversity of ideas, no matter who the ideas come from and what they look like.
It seems as though the GOP are aware of this because they just made a very interesting announcement that was aimed straight at Joe Biden and his team.
On March 7th, Republican U.S. Senator from Alabama Katie Britt will be providing the nation with the response to Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address that he is set to deliver earlier that night.
Britt shared this announcement on X (previously known as Twitter) where she said she would outline the “Republican vision to secure the American dream for generations to come.”
I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to speak directly to my fellow Americans on March 7.

Often the response to the State of the Union Address can be overlooked because it has a sort of built-in negativity and pessimism that usually doesn’t sit well with the American people who do want a positive outlook on the future. When you’re just countering what the sitting U.S. President said during his speech, it’s hard to sound optimistic.
But the move by the GOP to select Katie Britt to deliver the response to Biden’s speech is interesting because of what she represents.
Katie Britt is a young, up-and-coming Republican star who has a lot of goodwill in the eyes of millions of American conservatives across the country who are familiar with her.
To contrast Joe Biden’s speech, the GOP have selected another young woman to share the vision of the Republican party with the nation. It’s not just another Chuck Grassley set to sit in front of a camera and sound like a broken record.
Last year, Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivered the GOP response to the State of the Union Address and it was met with mixed feelings. Some said she seemed way too dark in her approach to the matters at hand and didn’t give enough positivity to Americans to enjoy.
Sure, it’s hard to be positive when Joe Biden’s economy has been an absolute mess and the country is clearly less safe today than it was four years ago. But it’s a necessary component of a successful political message or campaign.
Katie Britt is the continuation of the trend from the GOP, though, to actually follow through on the diversity claims that the Democrats try to make. Should Donald Trump make a pick for vice president like Vivek Ramaswamy who comes from Indian descent or even Kristi Noem, who is a young, female conservative superstar, that would make the optics look pretty bad for the Democrats.
Already they are watching their grip on the black, hispanic, and youth vote slip as Donald Trump has made inroads with many different traditionally staunch Democrat voting blocs.
It wouldn’t be all that surprising if in 15 years we’re talking about the Republicans carrying critical minority votes that Democrats dominated for decades.
