House Speaker goes on Fox News but immediately regrets it

Americans are fed up with the political class. The establishment’s days are numbered.

And now the House Speaker has appeared on Fox News but immediately regretted it when the cameras were rolling.

Donald Trump didn’t just change politics on the Right. It’s immediately visible that Donald Trump has changed the sentiment amongst conservative voters towards anti-establishment candidates and away from the RINOs of years past like Mitt Romney. That’s not all he did though.

He changed politics forever because whoever comes after him now has to appeal to independents who don’t want to be fed bureaucratic nonsense and non-answers to serious issues that are facing Americans. The days of the Mitt Romneys, the John McCains, the Nancy Pelosis, and the Chuck Schumers are numbered. New additions to Congress won’t be able to survive if they keep up that early 2000s bureaucrat speak.

A prime example of someone who represents this political class that is now being called the purple “uni-party” is none other than former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan. Mr. Ryan was the speaker of the House between October of 2015 and January 2019, but his speakership is being remembered very poorly.

After Donald Trump came on to the scene, Paul Ryan-type politicians became unlikeable because anyone who doesn’t want to consider the plight of Americans first before their political agendas isn’t being taken as seriously anymore. Paul Ryan in particular has a long history of putting his agenda before America.

He was willing to wheel and deal with Democrats and other RINOs who were willing to spend America into oblivion for the sake of the status quo. Even though he voiced support for pro-freedom economics, he was clearly in bed with the corporate cronies who are infamously secretly lobbying behind politicians and the bills that actually get passed in Congress.

Recently Mr. Paul Ryan came out of his cave to appear on Fox News and it did not go well for him at all. He was quickly reminded how much people simply don’t like him and why his political career is basically over.

Neil Cavuto Confronts Paul Ryan Over Viewer Discontent and Trump Criticisms

In a candid segment on Fox News’ Your World with Neil Cavuto, host Neil Cavuto addressed former Speaker of the House and current Fox News board member Paul Ryan about the widespread dislike many network viewers have towards him, largely due to his critical stance on former President Donald Trump.

Back in May, Ryan had openly declared on Yahoo Finance that he would not support Trump in any future elections, choosing instead to write in another Republican candidate. He criticized Trump’s character, a stance that has not sat well with a significant portion of the Fox News audience.

During the interview, Cavuto did not shy away from addressing the elephant in the room. “A lot of our viewers knew you were coming on. And a lot of them intrinsically dislike you for some reason,” Cavuto remarked. “They think you’re pulling the strings here at Fox. You’re part of this anti-Trump, never Trumper movement. They even equate me with you. They say that … we’re kindred spirits. And obviously Donald Trump is saying that you should be fired by Rupert Murdoch. When you hear all of that, what do you say?”

Ryan, maintaining his composure, responded, “I’ve been in politics a long time. I have really thick skin.” Cavuto interjected humorously, suggesting Ryan was too “fit” to have thick skin. Unfazed, Ryan continued, “I don’t think about that. I literally don’t think about it.”

Cavuto pressed further, inquiring if Fox Corporation and News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch had ever discussed Ryan’s unpopularity with him. Ryan confirmed that Murdoch had not brought up the subject. “It’s just the unspoken issue?” Cavuto asked. Ryan agreed, indicating that the topic is not addressed by anyone within the company.

Trump’s discontent with Ryan is no secret. In May, he took to Truth Social to express his views, stating, “Rupert Murdoch should fire pathetic RINO Paul Ryan from the Board of Fox. Ryan is a loser, always has been, and always will be. He was the WEAKEST & MOST INCOMPETENT Speaker of the House in its History. Fox will sink to the absolute bottom of the pack if Paul Ryan has anything to do with it!”

The tension between Ryan’s anti-Trump stance and the expectations of a substantial portion of Fox News’ viewership continues to be a contentious issue, one that Cavuto brought to the forefront in this revealing interview.

If Paul Ryan thought coming out of his shell to test the waters was a good idea, then he was very mistaken. The Republican voting base is no longer going to put up with his anti-Trump obsessions that has blinded him to the real issues that the bureaucratic class are so quick to ignore.

Parroting the Left’s deranged sentiments about Trump will not land well with the base who would be watching Fox News in the first place. Fox News should probably reconsider having him on and focus on having on individuals with actual rational takes.
