Pete Hegseth targeting Pentagon employees for making these vile social media posts

Hegseth is transforming the War Department into an elite fighting force. But that means he sometimes needs to make some tough calls.

And Pete Hegseth is targeting Pentagon employees for making these vile social media posts.

In a move that’s got the left squirming, the Pentagon is now monitoring the social media feeds of our brave service members and Department of War civilians. They’re on the hunt for any posts that cheer on or poke fun at the tragic assassination of conservative powerhouse Charlie Kirk. This crackdown shows the military isn’t messing around when it comes to respecting fellow Americans, even in the face of political divides.

War Chief Pete Hegseth didn’t hold back, firing off a social media post on Thursday declaring that his department would make sure anyone on the payroll faces real consequences for spewing hateful comments about Kirk’s m*rder. It’s about time someone in power draws a line against this kind of venom.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell laid it out plain and simple on Thursday: “It is unacceptable for military personnel and Department of War civilians to celebrate or mock the assassination of a fellow American. The Department of War has zero tolerance for it.”

Hegseth jumped right back into the fray, replying to his own post: “We are tracking all these very closely — and will address, immediately. Completely unacceptable.” You can bet the troops are getting the message loud and clear—cross that line, and you’re out.

The outrage exploded after Kirk, the fiery founder of Turning Point USA, was gunned down by an assassin on Wednesday. Almost immediately, the darkest corners of social media lit up with sick celebrations and cruel jabs at the 31-year-old patriot who spent his life fighting for conservative values.

One of the loudest voices in this disgusting chorus? None other than Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar. The Minnesota congresswoman didn’t waste a second, slamming Kirk in an interview with Mehdi Hasan. She accused him of downplaying serious issues, claiming he “was willing to debate and downplay the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police … downplay slavery and what black people have gone through in this country by saying Juneteenth should never exist.”

But Omar wasn’t done. She tossed in a half-hearted nod to humanity, saying she has “empathy” for Kirk’s wife and kids, but not for Kirk himself. Classic left-wing hypocrisy—empathy for some, but zero for those who dare to challenge their agenda.

This isn’t just talk; people are already paying the price for their bile. Take Laura Sosh-Lightsy, the former Associate Dean of Students at Middle Tennessee State University. She couldn’t resist posting: “Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence. Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy.” Well, that backfired big time—she got the boot on Wednesday.

It’s refreshing to see accountability kicking in, especially when the radical left thinks they can say anything without repercussions. Kirk’s death has exposed the ugly underbelly of online hate, and now institutions are stepping up to squash it.

Over in Florida, the DeSantis administration is leading the charge against this nonsense in the education world.

They’re not letting teachers get away with gloating over a fellow American’s m*rder on social media. Governor DeSantis and his team are making it clear: celebrate violence, and you’ll face the music.

Florida’s Commissioner of Education, Anastasios Kamoutsas, fired off a stern memo to every educator in the state. He warned that he “will be conducting an investigation of every educator who engages in this vile, sanctionable behavior.”

This whole mess highlights how divided our nation has become, thanks to years of leftist agitation. Charlie Kirk was a warrior for freedom, youth empowerment, and traditional values—yet his k*llers and their cheerleaders treat him like the enemy.

The Pentagon’s vigilance here is a win for decency in uniform. Our troops swear to defend the Constitution, not to trash conservatives who stand up for it. Holding them to that standard keeps the military focused on real threats, not internal poison.

Meanwhile, as the left circles the wagons around figures like Omar, conservatives are rallying to remember Kirk’s legacy. His work with Turning Point USA inspired millions of young Americans to reject socialism and embrace patriotism.

In the end, actions like those from Hegseth and DeSantis might just turn the tide against the culture of hate that’s infected our institutions. It’s a reminder that true Americans won’t stand for celebrating death—no matter the politics.
