President Trump furious at American ally for one jaw-dropping reason

Trump isn’t afraid to call our allies out. Holding them accountable is important in his eyes.

And President Trump is furious at this American ally for one jaw-dropping reason.

President Trump didn’t hold back on Tuesday when he slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over Israel’s strike on Doha’s capital in Qatar, targeting top Hamas bosses. The move sent shockwaves through the region, and Trump made it crystal clear that this wasn’t America’s call.

Drawing from his own experiences, Trump recalled how he stepped in back in June to enforce a ceasefire with Iran by turning Israeli jets around. This time, though, he said the alert came way too late to pull the plug on the operation.

“This was a decision made by Prime Minister Netanyahu, it was not a decision made by me,” Trump blasted on Truth Social, pushing back against Israeli media reports from outlets like the Jerusalem Post and Channel 12 that claimed the U.S. had given the thumbs up.

In his post, Trump didn’t mince words about the fallout. “Unilaterally bombing inside Qatar, a Sovereign Nation and close Ally of the United States, that is working very hard and bravely taking risks with us to broker Peace, does not advance Israel or America’s goals However, eliminating Hamas, who have profited off the misery of those living in Gaza, is a worthy goal,” he stated.

Trump revealed he sprang into action, ordering Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to tip off the Qataris about the incoming strike. “I immediately directed Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to inform the Qataris of the impending attack, which he did, however, unfortunately, too late to stop the attack. I view Qatar as a strong Ally and friend of the U.S., and feel very badly about the location of the attack.”

After the dust settled, Trump picked up the phone with Netanyahu himself. The Israeli leader assured him of his desire for peace, according to the president’s account.

“I believe this unfortunate incident could serve as an opportunity for PEACE,” Trump declared, turning a tense moment into a potential turning point for the region.

On top of that, Trump reached out directly to Qatar’s Emir and Prime Minister, expressing gratitude for their loyalty to America. “I also spoke to the Emir and Prime Minister of Qatar, and thanked them for their support and friendship to our Country. I assured them that such a thing will not happen again on their soil. I have directed Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, to finalize the Defense Cooperation Agreement with Qatar.”

For years, Trump and Netanyahu have been thick as thieves, pulling off clever maneuvers during the 12-Day War in June. Back then, they staged elaborate ruses, with Trump pretending not to know about Israel’s planned hit on Iran’s nuclear spots, all while steering media narratives with fake B-2 bomber fleets before America delivered the real punch with bunker busters.

Insiders in the Trump camp insist this latest dust-up isn’t some scripted play. One source even described it as Trump straight-up branding Netanyahu a “liar” by rejecting those leaked claims from Israeli officials.

Trump’s ties to Qatar run deep too—he made history in May as the first U.S. president to set foot in the country, coming home with huge investment deals and a lavish $400 million jet upgrade for Air Force One.

Israel’s government fired back with its own take, owning the whole thing. “Today’s action against the top terrorist chieftains of Hamas was a wholly independent Israeli operation. Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.”

At the White House, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt laid out the administration’s side during her Tuesday briefing, highlighting how U.S. forces spotted the Israeli planes but couldn’t intervene in time.

“The Trump administration was notified by the United States military that Israel was attacking Hamas, which very unfortunately, was located in a section of Doha, the capital of Qatar,” Leavitt explained, echoing the president’s frustration.

She doubled down on the core issue: “Unilaterally bombing inside Qatar, a sovereign nation and close ally of the United States, that is working very hard, and greatly take risks with us to broker peace does not advance Israel or America’s goals.”

Trump’s steadfast support for Netanyahu has been a hallmark of his foreign policy, but cracks have shown before—like earlier this year when he called out reports of famine in Gaza and voiced irritation over the dragging peace talks in the ongoing conflict.
