Ron DeSantis just made an announcement that has Leftists screaming like children

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has quickly become the bane of the Left’s existence. He doesn’t put up with their nonsense.

And Ron DeSantis just made an announcement that has Leftists screaming like children.

With the start of his second term on Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is demonstrating that he is continuing to fight against woke politics and the teaching of left-wing concepts like Critical Race Theory in public schools.

All state university and college systems are required by the Republican governor to disclose all expenses and resources utilized for campus initiatives centered around progressive issues including diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as Critical Race Theory.

A note that the DeSantis administration wrote to Ray Rodrigues, chancellor of the State University System of Florida, and Education Commissioner Manny Diaz Jr. was provided by Bryan Griffin, DeSantis’ press secretary, on Wednesday.

The memo, dated Dec. 28, stated that it was crucial to fully comprehend the operational costs of state institutions as DeSantis “prepares policy and budget proposals ahead of the 2023 legislative session, it is important that we have a full understanding of the operational expenses of state institutions.

Institutions were given until Jan. 13 to submit “costs associated with the administration of each program or activity,” which included personnel costs and an accounting of the amount of state funding allocated to each program.

Twitter users overwhelmingly supported the initiative.

The document was released in the midst of a court battle over the Stop WOKE Act, a piece of legislation that DeSantis signed in April.

The statute forbids the teaching of critical race theory in public colleges and schools, as well as any instruction that would instill in students a sense that they are personally responsible for historical wrongs due to their race, color, sex, or national origin.

Additionally, it prevents companies from implementing diversity policies or programs that can make staff members feel bad for comparable factors.

A temporary injunction against some of the act was given in November by Barack Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Mark E. Walker, and it went into force on July 1. The state is contesting the judgment.

The memo, according to Nick Seabrook, chair of the University of North Florida’s department of political science and public administration, is “a transparent attempt to achieve through intimidation what [DeSantis] was unable to achieve through legislation,” he tweeted on Wednesday. “The goal is to chill protected speech and punish institutions that deviate from the administration’s approved curriculum.” he claimed.

DeSantis lambasted some states and towns for embracing “faddish ideology at the expense of enduring principles.” during his inaugural speech on Tuesday.

“This bizarre but prevalent ideology that permeates these policy measures purports to act in the name of justice for the marginalized, but it frowns upon American institutions,” he said.

“It rejects merit and achievement, and it advocates identity essentialism. We reject his woke ideology. We seek normalcy, not philosophical lunacy. … We will never surrender to the woke mob; Florida is where woke goes to die.”

Most Americans are siding with Ron DeSantis on this one.

Parents all across the country have been making their voices heard about how schools need to be teaching real education, not how to hate America and becoming a Marxist Leftist 101.

Public establishments are funded by the public with taxpayer dollars.

As such, they need to be held responsible for peddling ideologies that are contradictory to what the people believe.

That’s exactly what Ron DeSantis is trying to do here.
