Trump’s border czar sets Washington, D.C. on fire with just two words

The incoming Trump administration is prepared for war. They know what’s awaiting them with the D.C. swamp.

But Trump’s border czar just set all of Washington, D.C. on fire with just two words.

Donald Trump, shortly after he won, announced that Tom Homan would be his administration’s border czar set to tackle the worsening illegal immigration and border crisis. Many of Trump’s supporters were well pleased to hear about this appointment, because Tom Homan is not playing around when it comes to cracking down on illegal immigration. He has taken Congress-members on both sides of the aisle to task for failing to do their job of securing the nation by securing the border.

A number of Washington, D.C. bureaucrats have been voicing serious disdain for Tom Homan’s role within the incoming Trump administration, as well as Democrat governors in blue states like California. They’ve been openly admitting that they will do everything they can to prevent Homan from being able to accomplish the agenda of the Trump administration of deporting violent illegal immigrants and shutting up the border for good.

None of this seems to be bothering Tom Homan at all, though. He’s telling everyone who wants to get in his way that he’s unafraid to do what he sets out to do no matter how much they don’t like it. He says that there is a “reckoning” coming and this has Democrats and Uni-party crooks terrified to their bones.

Tom Homan Clashes with Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett over Border Security

Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump’s border czar-designate, has strongly criticized Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas, calling her “not real smart” on issues related to border control. The confrontation stemmed from Crockett’s remarks during a recent MSNBC appearance, in which she questioned Homan’s capability to enforce immigration laws.

Homan, the former acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), was named border czar on November 11, 2024. His role involves overseeing efforts to manage illegal immigration and enforce U.S. immigration laws. In response to Crockett’s accusation that he “doesn’t know what he’s doing” in regards to immigration enforcement, Homan appeared on Wake Up America to defend his extensive background and experience.

Guest co-host Christina Thompson highlighted Homan’s long career in law enforcement, noting his qualifications, which include service as a border patrol agent, investigator, special agent, and assistant director of investigations. She asked Homan how he felt about Crockett’s critical comments. Homan’s response was pointed: “Well, look, I forgot more about this issue than she’ll ever know. I mean, for God’s sakes, I’ve been doing it 34 years.”

He continued, emphasizing the shift in American sentiment toward immigration policies, particularly following the 2024 election. “There was a rude awakening that American people are sick of the open border. American people are sick of crime in this country,” he said, highlighting the public’s growing frustration with what he perceives as lenient border security policies.

Homan’s remarks were further amplified by a recent case involving a Guatemalan migrant. On December 22, Sebastin Zapeta, a 33-year-old illegal migrant who had previously been deported under the Trump administration, was arrested and indicted for first- and second-degree m*rder after the brutal death of a woman on the New York City subway. Homan pointed to this incident as a reflection of the broader dangers posed by illegal immigration.

“How many young women had to be r*ped and m*rdered and burned alive?” Homan asked, referencing the growing concern over violent crimes committed by individuals residing illegally in the U.S. He also referenced notorious gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, whose members have been implicated in violent crimes across major U.S. cities. “How many angel moms and dads do we have to have in this country that lost their children at the hands of somebody that wasn’t supposed to be there and then buried their children when I talk about family separation?” Homan questioned, further underlining his belief that these crimes underscore the need for stronger border enforcement.

In response to Crockett’s previous remarks, Homan dismissed her credibility on the issue. “I don’t know who this lady is,” he said. “Apparently she’s not real smart.” His comments reflect the broader tensions between border enforcement advocates and those who support more lenient immigration policies.

The debate over immigration policy is especially poignant given the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), over 7.4 million illegal immigrants have been encountered since the start of fiscal year 2021, a staggering number that underscores the scale of the ongoing border security challenge. Under the Biden administration, the U.S. has experienced a net migration of around 2.4 million people annually, marking the largest surge in immigration in U.S. history.

As the new border czar, Homan faces significant pressure to address this unprecedented influx of migrants while balancing the nation’s need for security with the rights of those seeking asylum. The expectation for the incoming Trump term is that there will finally be some real changes brought to help improve national security. He’s got a few tricks up his sleeves on this point.

Tom Homan shared with Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk that he plans on holding weekly briefings for the American people to hear about how the Trump administration is catching violent illegal immigrants and how they were caught.
