White House lawyer reveals Trump’s one slip-up that could land him in jail

Donald Trump is up to his neck in legal battles. The Left is doing everything it can to destroy him.

And this White House lawyer reveals Trump’s one slip-up that could land him in jail.

If you take a step back and look at how far our country has fallen, it truly is staggering.

America used to be a freedom loving country led by patriots who only wanted to carry out the very limited powers of government.

Now our government infects everyday life, pushing for censorship online and in person, persecuting American citizens who disagree with their agenda, and targeting their chief political rivals.

This is what you see in a banana republic, not the land of the free and home of the brave.

But, for now, it looks like it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Donald Trump is steaming ahead to retake the White House from Joe Biden, but instead of fighting Trump on the issues, Biden and his comrades are trying to imprison him.

From wild charges of assaults in a dressing room to claiming he incited a coup, the entire charade is ridiculous.

Now they’re trying to prevent him from even speaking about the cases by threatening jail time.

Ty Cobb, a former White House counsel, claimed former President Donald Trump’s “off the rails” comments regarding his current court proceedings could land him in prison.

“It’s much like what he did on Jan. 6. It continues to be off the rails in terms of the extent to which his invective infects these proceedings and is the potential to intimidate witnesses,” Mr. Cobb said on CNN Tuesday.

“I believe that, you know, at some point, comments like this will result in Trump not only being sanctioned … but at some point these types of comments will result in him being put in jail pending some of these trials,” he said.

The former president is facing four criminal prosecutions in Florida for allegedly mishandling secret materials, attempting to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia and Washington, and paying hush money to cover up an affair in New York.

Attorney General Letitia James has filed a civil suit in New York charging that he and his company misled banks, insurers, and others by inflating his net worth in order to obtain larger loans and better insurance rates.

Mr. Trump and his counsel are subject to a limited gag order in his civil lawsuit, which prevents him from discussing the judge, his team, and the witnesses involved.

He is also subject to a gag order in his 2020 election case in Washington, which is now on hold pending an appeal.

Mr. Trump continues to engage in such behavior despite having previously been fined $15,000 for violating the gag order in New York twice.

On Tuesday, he reposted a message from a Truth Social user who claimed it would be a “fantasy” to see Ms. James and Mr. Engoron arrested for “blatant election interference and harassment.”

Mr. Cobb, a former Trump administration lawyer, said the former president’s “petty dictator-type talk” denigrates him and the United States.

According to Mr. Cobb, if Mr. Trump wins the 2024 election, any of his pending lawsuits might be placed on hold since a sitting president cannot be indicted or prosecuted during his tenure.

“I think it’s likely a court may rule that they’d have to wait until the end of his term to finish the prosecution of him,” he said.
