CNN set went bananas when a Trump White House official made this announcement

The second Trump admin is now underway. They’re already dropping bombs on the establishment.

That’s why CNN’s set went bananas when Trump’s security advisor made this huge announcement.

The second Trump administration officials are trying to help Donald Trump hit the ground running and implement his policies as fast as possible in a desperate move to turn the ship around after a very unpopular four years from Joe Biden and his crew. Time is of the essence and it’s critical that there’s no knuckle-dragging from anyone inside the Trump administration. The last thing Americans can afford is to be stuck in limbo with no real progress being made to secure the nation’s borders and make America safer.

One Trump official has real insight to offer the nation on this front. A national security advisor to Donald Trump for the second term went on CNN to tell reporters that the Trump administration is locked and loaded for some real policy changes that are going to make the nation safer, particularly when it comes to locking down the U.S. southern border with Mexico and addressing the illegal immigration crisis that has spiraled out of control.

Trump Administration’s Aggressive Immigration Plan: A Preview of What’s to Come

As the incoming Trump administration prepares to take office, one of its central promises is addressing illegal immigration and securing the U.S. southern border. Florida Republican Rep. Michael Waltz, who has been selected to serve as President Donald Trump’s national security advisor, appeared on CNN’s State of the Union to discuss the administration’s “more aggressive” plan to combat illegal immigration, which he confirmed would be “ready to go minute one” of Trump’s presidency.

Throughout his campaign, Trump pledged to enforce stronger border security measures, including one of the largest mass deportation efforts in U.S. history. This comes in the wake of record-high border encounters under the Biden-Harris administration. During the interview, host Dana Bash asked Waltz how Trump’s initial immigration actions would unfold, particularly in light of reports that the incoming president would issue a set of executive orders specifically targeting immigration issues.

Waltz Outlines Key Immigration Actions

Rep. Waltz outlined several immediate actions the Trump administration would take to address the surge in illegal immigration. “You are certainly going to see a much more aggressive action from Border Patrol to lock down our border,” Waltz said. This commitment demonstrates the administration’s focus on strengthening security at the southern border as one of its top priorities.

Waltz also pointed to the administration’s plan to quickly reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy, a key aspect of Trump’s previous immigration strategy that required asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims were processed in the U.S. The policy, which was a central part of the Trump administration’s approach to controlling asylum claims, had been rescinded by the Biden administration.

Waltz highlighted the importance of working with key international partners to expedite the deportation process, though he declined to provide specifics on which countries would be involved. “You’re going to see some of our key partners step up in terms of deportation and taking some of these people back,” he said.

The national security advisor also emphasized that Tom Holman, the former acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director who had been appointed as Trump’s border czar, would implement a tougher strategy for deportations, particularly targeting the most dangerous criminals. “Our inner city mayors are begging for it,” Waltz noted, suggesting that local governments were eager for a more robust immigration enforcement effort. He added, “The president campaigned on it. We are going to start with the worst of the worst of the criminals to get them out of our cities and out of our communities.”

ICE and Mass Deportation A Top Concern

Since his appointment in November, Holman has been vocal in advocating for a mass deportation approach, focusing on individuals with criminal records. Despite opposition from Democratic officials, who have threatened to withhold aid from ICE and Trump’s border czar, Holman’s plan is moving forward. He confirmed in December that the operation would begin in Chicago, signaling the start of what could be a nationwide push to deport illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds.

When asked by Bash about the potential for large-scale raids, Waltz responded by challenging the notion of what constitutes “large scale.” He expressed the administration’s focus on removing dangerous individuals from communities, saying, “Well, I don’t know how you would define large scale, but when we have criminals r*ping, assaulting and conducting the mayhem that they are, one of the things you’re absolutely going to see is aggressive action to get them out of our communities.”

Waltz concluded with a clear message: “The president is ready to go day — minute one — on getting these people out of the United States.” According to recent reports, the Trump administration is reportedly preparing executive orders aimed at immediately launching mass deportation operations in key sanctuary cities, starting with Chicago. According to The Wall Street Journal, this operation is expected to begin Tuesday morning and last for the entire week. The deployment will reportedly involve between 100 and 200 ICE agents tasked with carrying out the operation.

Recent polling data suggests that a significant majority of Americans, regardless of party affiliation, support the deportation of illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. A poll conducted by The New York Times and Ipsos found that 83% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning participants agreed with deporting illegal immigrants who have a criminal record. Meanwhile, 94% of Republicans and 64% of Independents also supported deportations for individuals with criminal backgrounds. This widespread bipartisan support could help fuel the Trump administration’s efforts as it moves forward with its aggressive immigration strategy.
