High profile Democrat hands Trump a massive victory no one expected

Trump’s comeback is monumental. And even those on the Left can’t resist.

Now this high profile Democrat handed Trump a massive victory no one expected.

President-elect Donald Trump’s soon-to-be border czar, Tom Homan, met with New York City Democratic Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday, finding common ground on a critical element of Trump’s mass deportation strategy.

The meeting, held at Gracie Mansion, centered on the urgent need to remove illegal immigrant criminals from America’s largest city, according to Mayor Adams.

This conversation followed Homan’s recent warnings to sanctuary cities like New York and Chicago about the dangers of releasing criminal illegal immigrants back onto the streets.

At a press conference afterward, Adams acknowledged past missteps in New York’s handling of violent illegal immigrants, particularly gang members.

“We’re not going to continue in that direction,” Adams said, admitting the city had made “terrible mistakes in the past.”

While vowing to protect the rights of hardworking, law-abiding immigrants who contribute positively to the city, Adams made it clear there would be no refuge for those committing violent crimes.

“We’re not going to be a safe haven for those who commit repeated violent crimes against innocent migrants, immigrants, and longstanding New Yorkers,” he stated.

The mayor emphasized his intent to collaborate with Homan, saying:

“That’s what my conversation today with the border czar was about — figuring out how we go after those individuals who are repeatedly committing crimes in our city.”

Adams reiterated his firm stance:

“NYC will not be a safe haven for those who commit violent acts. We don’t do it for those who are citizens, and we won’t do it for those who are undocumented.”

However, Adams didn’t hold back his frustration with the media, accusing reporters of having “preconceived thoughts” no matter how he responded.

Despite remaining a sanctuary city — where local authorities are prohibited from cooperating with federal immigration agents — Adams is reportedly considering an executive order to change that status, according to the New York Post.

The mayor has previously raised alarms about the immigration crisis, criticizing the Biden administration’s policies that have contributed to record-high numbers of migrants crossing the southern border.

Adams closed the press conference with a call to action, saying, “Everyone in this city should be protected. They should not be the victims of violent crimes.”

“That was the conversation I had with the border czar. We shared that same belief, and we’re going to pursue that same belief. I look forward to that pursuit.”
