Supreme Court suspends rogue Leftist judge in dramatic emergency ruling

The Left’s games are up. They can’t abuse the courts any longer.

Because this Supreme Court emergency ruling just saw a Leftist judge get suspended.

Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan Shields Illegal Immigrant, Suspended By Wisconsin Supreme Court

The Wisconsin Supreme Court dropped a bombshell on Tuesday, issuing an administrative order that stripped Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan of her judicial powers, temporarily relieving her of her official duties. This unprecedented move comes on the heels of Dugan’s arrest last Friday, when federal authorities charged her with obstruction of an official proceeding—a felony—and concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest, a misdemeanor.

The charges stem from Dugan’s audacious decision to shield an illegal immigrant, previously deported Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. This is not just a judicial misstep; it’s a blatant abuse of power by a radical Leftist judge who prioritized ideology over the rule of law.

Dugan’s actions, as detailed in a criminal complaint, detail a judge willing to subvert justice to push a progressive agenda. On April 18, Flores-Ruiz appeared before Dugan’s court to face three misdemeanor battery charges for allegedly assaulting two individuals in a brutal domestic violence incident. Federal agents from ICE, the FBI, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) were poised to arrest Flores-Ruiz after the hearing, given his status as an illegal immigrant with a prior deportation. But Dugan, in a calculated act of defiance, thwarted their efforts. She demanded that the agents report to the chief judge’s office, and after the hearing, she personally escorted Flores-Ruiz and his attorney through a restricted jury door, bypassing the public area where federal agents were waiting.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court’s order was clear and uncompromising: Dugan “is temporarily prohibited from exercising the powers of a circuit court judge in the State of Wisconsin.” This suspension will remain in effect until further notice, signaling the gravity of her misconduct. The Wisconsin Court System confirmed to Fox News that Dugan will not return to the bench this week, with her caseload reassigned to other judges. The court’s swift response underscores the severity of Dugan’s actions, which have shaken public trust in the judiciary.

Dugan’s arrest by the FBI last Friday marked a stunning fall from grace for a judge who, until now, operated with the authority to uphold the law. Instead, she allegedly hid Flores-Ruiz in her jury room, a sacred space meant for deliberation, not for harboring fugitives. This wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision; it was a deliberate act to obstruct federal agents and protect an illegal immigrant accused of violent crimes. Dugan’s behavior exemplifies the dangerous trend of progressive judges who wield their gavels as weapons to advance their ideological crusades, regardless of the consequences.

The charges against Dugan are serious. She faces a felony count of obstructing a federal agency and a misdemeanor for concealing a person to avoid arrest. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 15, when she will confront these federal charges in Milwaukee. The irony is palpable: a judge, sworn to uphold justice, now stands accused of undermining it. Her actions not only jeopardized the safety of the public but also disrespected the very system she was entrusted to serve.

Attorney General Pam Bondi didn’t mince words when she addressed Dugan’s misconduct on Fox’s America Reports. “We could not believe that a judge really did that,” Bondi said. “You cannot obstruct a criminal case. And really, shame on her. It was a domestic violence case of all cases, and she’s protecting a criminal defendant over victims of crime.” Bondi’s outrage is justified. Flores-Ruiz, the man Dugan shielded, is no mere bystander. He’s accused of viciously attacking two people—a man and a woman—in a domestic violence incident that left both victims hospitalized.

Bondi provided chilling details of the assault: “[He] beat the guy, hit the guy 30 times, knocked him to the ground, choked him, beat up a woman so badly; they both had to go to the hospital.” Yet, Dugan chose to protect this alleged perpetrator over his victims, prioritizing her ideological stance on immigration over the safety of American citizens. This is the kind of rogue ruling that has become all too common among activist judges who view the bench as a platform for social engineering rather than a place to administer justice.

Dugan’s attorney, Craig Mastantuono, offered a weak defense during her brief court appearance on Friday. “Judge Dugan wholeheartedly regrets and protests her arrest. It was not made in the interest of public safety,” he told the court. Regret, however, is not accountability. Dugan’s attempt to downplay her actions is as unconvincing as it is insulting to the victims of Flores-Ruiz’s alleged crimes. Her claim that local reports were inaccurate, as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, only adds to the perception that she’s more interested in deflecting blame than owning her misconduct.

In a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel last Tuesday, Dugan wrote, “Nearly every fact regarding the ‘tips’ in your email is inaccurate.” This denial is hard to swallow given the overwhelming evidence outlined in the criminal complaint. Federal agents from multiple agencies were present, ready to apprehend Flores-Ruiz, and Dugan’s actions directly interfered with their lawful duties. Her refusal to acknowledge the truth suggests a troubling lack of remorse and an unwillingness to face the consequences of her reckless behavior.

The case of Hannah Dugan is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by judges who abandon impartiality for activism. Her decision to shield an illegal immigrant accused of violent crimes is not just a personal failing; it’s a betrayal of the public’s trust in the judiciary. Progressive judges like Dugan often cloak their actions in the guise of compassion, but their rulings frequently harm the very communities they claim to protect. By prioritizing Flores-Ruiz over his victims, Dugan sent a clear message: ideology trumps justice.

This incident also raises serious questions about the vetting and oversight of judges. How did someone with such blatant disregard for the law ascend to the bench? The Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decisive action in suspending Dugan is a step in the right direction, but it’s not enough. The judiciary must implement stricter measures to ensure that activist judges cannot exploit their positions to undermine the rule of law. Public confidence in the courts is at stake, and cases like Dugan’s only erode that trust further.

The fallout from Dugan’s actions extends beyond her courtroom. Her caseload, now reassigned to other judges, will strain an already overburdened judicial system. Victims awaiting justice in her cases may face delays, all because of her reckless defiance. Meanwhile, the community grapples with the knowledge that a judge prioritized an illegal immigrant’s evasion of arrest over the safety of law-abiding citizens. This is the real-world impact of progressive judicial activism—chaos, mistrust, and injustice.

Her case should serve as a wake-up call to lawmakers, judicial oversight bodies, and voters. Activist judges who flout the law must face swift and severe consequences, whether through suspension, removal, or criminal prosecution. Anything less risks further emboldening those who view the bench as a tool for ideological warfare.
