Jasmine Crockett’s thinly veiled treasonous threat to Trump landed her in hot water

The Left needs to take a chill pill. They act as if life itself is over sometimes.

And now Jasmine Crockett’s thinly veiled treasonous threat to Trump landed her in hot water.

Crockett’s Overreaching Trump-Maduro Analogy

Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett sparked controversy during her appearance on ABC’s The View by drawing a strained parallel between President Donald Trump and the ousted Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro.

She argued that both figures pursued what she called “illegitimate” authority, though she conceded Maduro pulled it off while Trump supposedly fell short.

This comparison, delivered on the symbolically charged date of January 6, seemed more like partisan theater than grounded analysis, overlooking the stark differences in their political contexts.

Crockett doubled down, stating: “Everyone wants to talk about how Maduro was illegitimate. As we sit here on January 6th, I do want to be clear, somebody else was trying to be a Maduro of the United States. Somebody else wanted to do the exact same thing. The difference is Maduro was successful.”

Misguided Critique of Maduro’s Extradition

Crockett went further, baselessly labeling the Trump administration’s operation to capture and extradite Maduro as “illegal,” while accusing the president of indifference toward Venezuelan suffering.

Her remarks ignored the international backing for the move and the documented atrocities under Maduro’s regime, instead framing it as an unjust intrusion that could set a dangerous precedent.

She remarked: “When he went in to get Maduro, he k*lled even more Venezuelans – this ain’t about Venezuelans! I get that there are people that don’t like the leader. But guess what, there are a lot of people that don’t like our leader! And — and — regardless, somebody coming into the United States and grabbing our leader in the middle of the night and k*lling people in this country, I’m sure everybody would be outraged at them doing it that way.”

When co-host Joy Behar griped that “nobody stops [Trump],” Crockett replied, “I’m trying, Joy,” positioning herself as a lone crusader against perceived overreach.

Dubious Claims on Election Fairness

Wrapping up her critique, Crockett pointed to redistricting efforts in states like Texas—approved by elected officials—as evidence of Trump’s alleged disdain for democratic processes. This selective outrage conveniently sidestepped similar tactics employed by Democrats elsewhere, painting a one-sided picture of electoral manipulation.

She claimed that Trump’s support of such measures was concrete proof that the president “doesn’t believe in free and fair elections.”
