DOJ slammed after alarming evidence of conservative persecution surfaces

Biden’s weaponization of the federal government knows no bounds. Now Republicans are speaking out.

And the DOJ was slammed after alarming evidence of conservative persecution surfaces.

The U.S. government should serve both Republicans and Democrats equally with no preference for either.

In the old days, that was usually the case.

But thanks to Joe Biden, Democrats and liberals can get away with almost anything while even the slightest “offense” by Republicans is prosecuted to the fullest.

Now Biden has turned his crosshairs onto pro-lifers – a movement his own Church supports.

Four pro-life activists were convicted guilty of breaching federal law during a protest outside an abortion clinic, increasing the total number of similar convictions under the Biden administration to ten and renewing Republican claims of “weaponized” justice.

This week, U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Frensley in Nashville ruled that the protesters violated the Freedom to Access Clinic Entrances Act during their March 2021 rally outside the Carafem Health Center Clinic in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

According to the Justice Department, Eva Edl, Eva Zastrow, James Zastrow, and Paul Place face up to six months in prison, five years of supervised release, and a $10,000 fine.

In January, six more activists who took part in the Mount Juliet protest were found guilty of FACE Act breaches and felony conspiracy. They each face up to 10 and a half years in prison. Their sentence is slated for July 2.

Footage of the protest shows the activists sitting and singing in the corridor outside the clinic’s door, which is located on the second floor of a medical building.

“These defendants positioned themselves directly in front of the main clinic door for over two hours, physically blocking access to the clinic, resulting in no patients accessing the clinic,” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee in a Wednesday statement.

“Police requested that the defendants leave or move multiple times, but after more than two hours, these defendants were arrested,” the statement said.

Rep. Mary Miller, an Illinois Republican, was horrified by the convictions and accused the Biden administration of establishing a two-tiered system of justice.

“Biden’s DOJ is prosecuting Christians for peacefully praying outside abortion clinics, which is their First Amendment right,” she said on X.

“Meanwhile, 10 million illegal aliens walked into our country, including known terrorist ‘gotaways’ & Biden’s DOJ has no idea where they are. AMERICA LAST!”

Rep. Andy Biggs, an Arizona Republican, stated that “Biden’s DOJ is weaponized against pro-life demonstrators.”

Rep. Chip Roy, a Texas Republican, urged Congress to adopt his legislation abolishing the FACE Act and “stop Biden’s DOJ crusade against pro-life Americans.”

The FACE Act, passed in 1994, is designed to ban blocking or attacking abortion facilities as well as pro-life pregnancy centers; but, under the Biden administration, the statute has been applied mostly against pro-life activists.

Last year, a Philadelphia jury convicted pro-life activist Mark Houck not guilty of violating the FACE Act after a 2021 altercation with a Planned Parenthood volunteer. Mr. Houck is suing the Justice Department for malicious prosecution.

The CatholicVote tracker reports that at least 90 pro-life pregnancy centers and offices have been vandalized since the May 2022 leak of the Supreme Court’s majority judgment in Dobbs v. Jackson.

So yet, just four pro-choice activists are thought to have been charged with FACE Act violations.

The defendants, who were accused with vandalizing pro-life pregnancy facilities in Florida last year, are set to stand trial in July before U.S. District Judge Virginia Hernandez Covington in Tampa.
