President Biden has become politically toxic. Now he’s facing the repercussions.
Because Joe Biden’s received a letter in the mail with jaw-dropping consequences.
State leaders are stepping up to battle for common sense once more as a result of Biden’s federal resignation of leadership to save Americans’ way of life.
This time, the governors of the United States are reacting to the Biden administration’s introduction of new Title IX regulations, which broaden the definition of “discrimination” to encompass “gender identity” in a move that would preclude educational institutions from defending female athletes and women’s sports.
In essence, it would demand that universities and colleges that receive government funding force student athletes to join teams that correspond to their “gender identity.”
Therefore, the majority of American governors have united to reject the Biden Department of Education’s new proposed Title IX standards because they believe that they represent “a blatant overreach of the federal government on states’ rights.”
The governors submitted their formal feedback on the draft regulation that could “prevent states from enforcing our duly-enacted statutes protecting fairness in women’s and girls’ sports” in a letter to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona. “If not withdrawn, we are gravely concerned about the impact that the Department’s wholesale reinvention of Title IX’s terms would have on states’ ability to enforce their laws and policies as written,” the state officials state.
In fact, the Department’s proposed regulation would attempt to compel compliance with an ambiguous, fluid, and entirely subjective criteria that is based on a highly political gender ideology under penalty of withholding critical school funding.
The letter reads:
Leaving aside the Department’s utter lack of authority to promulgate such a regulation, neither states nor schools should be subjected to such a fluid and uncertain standard. Nor, most importantly, should the historic advancements and achievements of our sisters, mothers, and daughters be erased.
The governors make the appropriate point when they state that “the proposed regulation would turn the purpose of Title IX on its head and threaten the many achievements of women in athletics.”
They detail how the modification implemented by the Biden administration “lacks foundation in established law.”
The letter goes on to say:
Undeterred by plain English, the Department invents new categories solely based on a student’s “gender identity”—a term not used in Title IX. This overreaching interpretation exceeds the Department’s Congressionally granted authority.
The governors remind the Biden administration that protecting the numerous hard-won sporting accomplishments over the past fifty years is more than just an issue of safety for female athletes because it “also protects essential fairness” in addition to lacking a legal foundation or congressional power.
You’ll remember that back in the 2020 election season, Joe Biden and the Democrats kept selling Biden as a “unifier” who moderate Americans could get behind.
But now we’re at a point when the Democrats in power in the White House are pushing for biological men to be allowed to compete with biological women in women’s sports due to “gender identity.”
Regardless of whether you believe in none, some, or all of the Democrats’ “gender identity” ideologies, the simple fact is that it is a hotly debated issue.
In fact, polls have shown that a vast majority of Americans do not agree with the idea that you should be able to “choose” your gender and that the majority of Americans believe that gender identity is defined by biology from birth.
The Biden administration shoving controversial gender ideology down the throats of Americans solely from the executive branch is as extreme as you can get.
Joe Biden is no moderate unifier. He’s a figurehead for the radical Left that’s taken over the Democrat Party.
