Pete Buttigieg is terrified after he was caught in this heinous act

Mayor Pete has never made headlines for a good reason. It looks like he wants to keep that streak alive.

And Pete Buttigieg is terrified after he was caught in this heinous act.

You don’t have to be particularly perceptive to see that this country is going down the tubes and fast under Joe Biden.

One of the biggest issues facing this country is the sudden uptick in criminal behavior that has struck many of America’s cities.

This includes car jacking, assaults, and drug dealing.

Much of it is precipitated by the criminal illegal immigrants coming into this country.

But many on the Left would have you believe that is all just a fiction.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg recently minimized Washington, D.C.’s crime problems, claiming that a lot of “energy” goes into making the nation’s capital appear considerably worse than it is.

“We need to talk about the reality here,” Buttigieg stated during a Sunday MSNBC appearance.

“There’s a lot of funding and a lot of energy going into telling a different story in news outlets and online.”

“But the simple facts and the simple reality are right here staring us in the face, including the fact I can safely walk my dog to the Capitol today in a way you couldn’t do when we all got here,” he went on to say.

Buttigieg, on the other hand, receives security details as a result of his government job.

When he made the remarks on Sunday, a quadruple shooting occurred about six miles southwest of the Capitol building, according to Fox 5.

Just days previously, a woman was caught in crossfire in southeast D.C., narrowly avoiding injury by hiding before a stray bullet broke her car glass.

A man was charged earlier this year with breaking into a Secret Service vehicle parked outside President Biden’s granddaughter Naomi’s Washington, D.C. house in November 2023.

Meanwhile, the nation’s capital has seen crime rates skyrocket as leaders have attempted to calm fears.

Last year, Democrat D.C. Council Chair Phil Mendelson told the House Oversight Committee that citizens should not be concerned about crime, despite major concerns.

According to data from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, crime rates in the city jumped dramatically last year compared to 2022.

Homicides, for example, rose by roughly 35%, while robberies jumped 67%. Violent crime as a whole increased by about 40% in 2023 over the previous year.

The data also reveals that violent crime rates have reduced as of April 8 compared to the same period last year.

The Department of Transportation did not immediately reply to requests for comment on Buttigieg’s statements.

And he can’t respond to any requests because he knows the data is not on his side.

Instead, we are subject to the same gaslighting that those on the Left always peddle.

When you notice something is wrong, they don’t address the issue, they pretend it doesn’t exist.
