Texas and other patriot states are the bane of the current administration. They are fighting back against the radical Left.
And now Joe Biden is terrified by this new Texas plan.
While the Biden administration fumbles through the immigration crisis, Governor Greg Abbott is proving, once again, that Texas does things differently.
Two years ago, Abbott rolled out a bold initiative authorizing the arrest of illegal immigrants trespassing on private property along the state’s southern border.
And the results, though overshadowed by federal failures, are undeniably encouraging.
Nearly 10,000 apprehensions later, it’s clear that Texas’ “arrest and jail” program is making a dent.
This common-sense measure empowers landowners – the very people bearing the brunt of the border crisis – to partner with law enforcement and crack down on illegal entry.
As Governor Abbott predicted, the message is spreading: cross into Texas illegally, and face the consequences.
Texas’ arrests target a specific subset of illegal entrants – trespassing individuals who brazenly violate private property, often with criminal intent.
Unfortunately, the program can’t do anything to stem the tidal wave caused by federal negligence, but it plugs a vital leak, preventing these trespassers from disappearing into the American interior.
Furthermore, the argument that these arrests are simply symbolic ignores the dangers these apprehended individuals pose.
As Texas DPS spokeswoman Ericka Miller rightly points out, many are criminals themselves – gang members, sex offenders, and human traffickers.
Left unchecked, they would have melted into our communities, posing a threat to national security and public safety.
Recognizing the initiative’s success, Governor Abbott recently doubled down, signing a new set of laws aimed at further securing the border.
These measures include harsher penalties for repeat offenders, allowing authorities to deport them directly, and shielding law enforcement from frivolous lawsuits.
This is proactive governance at its finest, sending a clear message: Texas will not tolerate illegal immigration, and those who break the law will face the full weight of justice.
Of course, Texas’ efforts alone cannot solve a crisis manufactured by federal incompetence.
President Biden’s open-border policies invite mass illegal immigration, turning border communities into ground zero for human trafficking, cartels, and violence.
While the federal government abdicates its duty, states like Texas are forced to step up, playing defense against a crisis not of their making.
The success of Texas’ “arrest and jail” program and the governor’s recent legislation offer a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos.
They demonstrate that with effective measures and unwavering resolve, states can make a dent in the immigration crisis, protecting citizens and upholding the rule of law. It’s a stark contrast to the feckless leadership in Washington, where ideology trumps security and political correctness reigns supreme.
One thing is clear: as long as the federal government shirks its responsibility, states like Texas will lead the charge.
And while Biden continues to fiddle as the border burns, Governor Abbott has shown that decisive action, not blind partisanship, is the true key to securing our border and protecting our nation.
