The Biden-Harris admin crimes keep piling up. Congress is fed up with it.
And now Congress has made an announcement that accuses a top Biden official of treason and high crimes.
If there’s anyone who controls the most strings in an election year these days, it’s most certainly the Big Tech overlords who can unilaterally decide what is and is not acceptable “content” for their platforms, changing what Americans may or may not see on a dime. It can all happen in real-time and it often does.
You’ll remember that back in 2020, the New York Post piece uncovering the Hunter Laptop story was supposed to spread like wildfire. It didn’t because major platforms like Twitter (at the time not owned by Elon Musk) and Facebook were labeling the story as “untrustworthy” and “disinformation.” They argued that they didn’t want to impact the outcome of the election, so they suppressed the story. Today, we now know that there were some levels of coordination with the federal government to keep this story from being spread on the major social media platforms.
Most recently, there’s been some concerns that search engines like Google are favoring searches for Kamala Harris rather than Donald Trump. Many people have shared real results that seem extremely odd and demonstrate a potential effort to keep users from reaching Trump-related searches and hits.

Well now Congressmembers are demanding answers. Senator Roger Marshall has announced an investigation into Google for these oddities and House Representative Matt Gaetz is sending a documents request to the Department of Homeland Security for Alejandro Mayorkas to hand over any documents involving connections to Big Tech companies.

Gaetz Demands Transparency from DHS on Big Tech Censorship Allegations
In a pointed move, Republican Representative Matt Gaetz has called on Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to release crucial documents that could illuminate the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) connections with Big Tech companies and alleged efforts to censor online discussions regarding the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
Gaetz has accused the DHS of engaging in a “pattern of coercion and collusion” with major technology firms, implying that the department may have worked to “unconstitutionally” suppress information about Trump through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In his letter, Gaetz demanded that the DHS provide all documents and communications with social media platforms, as well as internal communications among DHS personnel and interactions with federal and state employees, dating from July 13 to July 31, which pertain to the Trump assassination attempt.
“These two major scandals at DHS have a single focal point right now, which is the apparent Big Tech censorship and the digital ‘erasing’ of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump,” Gaetz stated in his letter.
CISA, a branch within the DHS, has been implicated in collaborating with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) to monitor, flag, and censor online content from Trump and other Republicans. This information was revealed in a report from the House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
“Numerous news outlets have reported various irregularities in search results and home pages,” Gaetz noted. “For example, Facebook has acknowledged that it censored an authentic photograph of Donald Trump as ‘false information’ and Google has acknowledged that it excludes and does not autocomplete results for searches relating to the Trump assassination attempt.”
The letter refers to an incident on July 13, when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump from a rooftop, just 130 yards away from the rally stage in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Prior to the rally, Crooks had been seen by witnesses, flagged by the Secret Service, and identified by a local counter sniper nearly 100 minutes before Trump took the stage.
“The Director of the United States Secret Service (USSS) recently tendered her resignation due to the failures of that agency to adequately service their protectee, Donald Trump, who was the target of the most serious assassination attempt on a United States political figure in a generation or more on July 13, 2024,” Gaetz’s letter continued. “On July 29, 2024, an unnamed USSS counter sniper emailed your department personnel complaints that the USSS is not being cleaned up and that the resignation of a single high-level supervisor was not adequate to address deep structural concerns.”
Following the assassination attempt, internet users began noticing what Gaetz described as “irregularities” in autocomplete search result suggestions for terms like “president Donald” and “assassination attempt of,” which failed to produce Trump-related results.
Adding to the controversy, Elon Musk claimed on Monday that Google and other Big Tech platforms are interfering with the upcoming November election by manipulating Trump’s autocomplete results on their platforms.
All this and it’s only the beginning of August. It’s going to be a long general election season, no doubt.
