Washington, D.C. is at a boiling point right now. Any hope of a parley is all but gone.
And now a Democrat Senator made a violent threat against Trump and his supporters.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) unleashed a scathing attack on the MAGA-wing of the Republican Party during a weekend interview, pushing his anti-conservative rhetoric to a new level.
His aggressive stance comes just over a month after a disturbing incident in Pennsylvania, where an attempted assassin targeted Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at a political rally.
Booker’s controversial remarks were made during CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, when host Jake Tapper questioned how Democrats could tout Vice President Kamala Harris as a “new chapter” for their party when she’s the incumbent candidate.
“Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years,” Tapper pointed out.
“How can Democrats talk about a new chapter, turning the page? You guys are the ones writing the book.”
In his response, Booker quickly sidestepped the glaring truth by deflecting the conversation towards attacking Republicans.
“Well, you know that that’s not true, Jake, because you know politics like I do,” Booker claimed, ignoring the fact that his party has had a significant hold on power.
He then proceeded to vilify MAGA Republicans in Congress, accusing them of obstructing “pragmatic policies” without acknowledging the failures of his own party.
In an attempt to rewrite history, Booker falsely blamed Trump for k*lling a border deal proposed in the Senate.
The reality, however, is that the proposal faced significant criticism from the Right, who saw it as a weak response to the ongoing border crisis — a crisis that has only worsened under the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous policies.
Booker didn’t stop there. He went on to denounce Trump’s influence as “egregious and incredible,” particularly targeting Trump’s Supreme Court appointments, which he claimed were “rolling back the most fundamental of our rights and freedoms, like bodily autonomy and reproductive rights.”
This hyperbolic statement ignores the broader implications of the Court’s decisions and fails to recognize the ideological diversity within the conservative movement.
“So, to say that the MAGA Republicans are not still undermining commonsense, pragmatic, sensible politics is just wrong,” Booker continued, once again painting conservatives as the enemy while conveniently glossing over the far-Left agenda that his own party has been pushing.
He then audaciously suggested that this election could “finally k*ll that strain of the Republican Party,” signaling his desire to see MAGA conservatives purged from the political landscape.
Yet, in a remarkable display of hypocrisy, mere moments after his call to “finally k*ll” MAGA, Booker lamented the “tribalism” and “us versus them” mindset that he claims to despise.
The irony was palpable as Booker, who had just launched a divisive attack, suddenly pretended to be above the fray.
