Omar has been a thorn in the side of Republicans for a while now. But she’s only making things worse.
And Ilhan Omar made a wild claim about Trump supporters that will leave you red with rage.
Ilhan Omar is at it again. While Minnesota taxpayers are still reeling from a multi-billion-dollar fraud scandal tied directly to her Somali community, the far-left congresswoman went on CNN to cry about “fear” and warn that Trump supporters might turn violent against Somalis.
Omar explained to CNN’s Jake Tapper that President Trump’s plain talk about the fraud “creates fear” among Somalis.
She actually claimed, “there is a possible danger that a lot of the people who follow the president have exhibited violence in many cases, especially in my case.”
She doubled down: “There are so many people that have been incarcerated over the years that have been encouraged by the president’s words.”
Meanwhile, when Tapper pressed her on why Minnesota – of all places – became Fraud Central, Omar just shrugged and blamed a lack of “guardrails” during COVID. No outrage, no condemnation, not one word against the crooks who stole billions.
Let’s be crystal clear what we’re talking about: under Tim Walz’s watch, Minnesota got looted for billions in a feeding-program scam overwhelmingly run through the Somali community. Some of that cash even allegedly ended up with Al-Shabaab terrorists, per City Journal.
President Trump didn’t beat around the bush on Tuesday. “I hear … Somalians ripped off that state for billions of dollars, billions, every year,” he said. “And they contribute nothing. Their welfare [rate] is like 88% — they contribute nothing.”
“I don’t want ’em in our country, I’ll be honest with you. Some will say, ‘Oh, that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care,” Trump roared.
He kept swinging: “Their country is no good for a reason, their country stinks, and we don’t want them in our country.”
Trump saved the best for Omar and her crew: “These aren’t people who work; these aren’t people who say, ‘Let’s go, let’s make this place great.’ These are people who do nothing but complain.”
And when they come “from h*ll” and still whine nonstop, the message is simple: “Let them go back from where they came from and fix it.”
Of course, Omar fired back with the usual laundry list – “bigoted, xenophobic, Islamophobic, racist rhetoric.”
She even tried to flip the script, whining that Trump is deflecting from his own “failures.”
Remember, this is the same Ilhan Omar who last month sounded an awful lot like she was threatening anyone who “collaborates” with the incoming Trump administration. The mask slips further every day.
Bottom line: Minnesota families are footing a billion-dollar bill because Democrat policies turned the state into a migrant free-for-all. Trump calls it out, and suddenly he’s the bad guy while the grifters get victim status.
