The southern border immigration crisis is out of control. It’s wreaking havoc on cities with crime.
And Kamala Harris is just dead silent as Congress sends a merciless letter to border patrol.
In response to a recent deadly shootout involving an illegal immigrant, Texas Republican U.S. Representative Chip Roy has called on local law enforcement to disclose crime data connected to a nearby migrant shelter. The incident that sparked Roy’s demands occurred late last month when Jorge Jose Chacon-Gutierrez, an illegal migrant from Venezuela, was fatally shot after engaging in a gunfight with officers from the San Antonio Police Department. The officers had responded to a domestic violence call at his residence.
Chacon-Gutierrez, who had unlawfully entered the U.S. in November 2023, fired at three officers with a rifle, injuring one before he was k*lled in the exchange of gunfire. This incident has raised concerns among residents in Roy’s district, leading him to seek answers about the impact of the migrant population on public safety.
In a letter addressed to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, Roy expressed the concerns of his constituents regarding the significant influx of illegal immigrants into the San Antonio region. The congressman emphasized the need for transparency regarding the public safety implications of this increased population.
“I write today because my constituents are rightly concerned about the massive influx of illegal aliens into the San Antonio region and deserve answers on the increased illegal alien population’s impact on public safety,” Roy says in his letter addressed to Border Patrol agents.
According to Roy’s office, since January 2021, over 626,000 illegal migrants have been encountered in the San Antonio area, many of whom are from Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Haiti, and Honduras. The San Antonio Migrant Resource Center (MRC), which opened on July 7, 2022, has housed more than 345,000 foreign nationals to date.
In his letter, Roy detailed the circumstances of the recent shooting involving Chacon-Gutierrez and expressed concern about the potential for similar incidents to occur. He highlighted a warning issued by Border Patrol about the Venezuelan-based prison gang Tren de Aragua, which has over 1,000 members in the U.S. and has reportedly been authorized to attack law enforcement.
“Any crime committed by an illegal alien is a preventable one, which needlessly creates victims and puts responding officers in greater jeopardy,” Roy added in his comments in the letter. “Indeed, Border Patrol issued a bulletin warning that the Venezuelan-based prison gang Tren de Aragua has over 1,000 members in the U.S. and has been given the ‘green light’ to fire on and attack law enforcement,” the letter goes on to say.
Roy’s letter also requested specific information from the San Antonio Police Department, including the number and types of calls for assistance originating from the MRC since its opening. He asked for a breakdown of calls by category, such as felonies, misdemeanors, and requests for patrols, as well as details on how many calls resulted in police reports, involvement of Child Protective Services, or hospitalizations.
The congressman has set a deadline of August 26 for the San Antonio Police Department to provide answers to his inquiries. This request for information comes amid a broader concern about the effects of the ongoing migrant crisis, with Border Patrol agents encountering more than seven million migrants crossing illegally into the U.S. since the beginning of the Biden administration, according to recent data from Customs and Border Protection.

Kamala Harris And Her Democrat Allies Keep Quiet On Illegal Immigration
It’s clear that the most damaging topic for Kamala Harris’s campaign is the issue of illegal immigration. Americans overwhelmingly reject the job of the Biden-Harris administration in handling illegal immigration and getting a grip on the southern border crisis as a whole.
That’s why the Leftist media spent the first few days after Kamala Harris had announced her campaign to replace Joe Biden dispelling the idea that Harris was ever a “border czar”. They knew they had to try and get ahead of that narrative before Americans started asking questions about how a Harris administration would be any better than Joe Biden on illegal immigration.
Their efforts didn’t exactly go as planned. Independent media outlets and popular social media accounts on free platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter) called out the media’s lies for saying that Harris was never a border czar. These outlets like Axios and CNN who were trying to lie and suggest that Harris was never a “border czar” were the ones who told Americans that she was! They never “corrected” themselves until she launched her campaign years later!
Kamala Harris knows this is her real weakness. On her watch, millions of illegal immigrants have been wreaking havoc on the U.S. southern border with Mexico. There’s no running from that record.
Instead, Harris and her allies are going to try and change the discussion. As the famous line goes; if you don’t like what’s being said, change the conversation. That’s what they are going to do.
It’s on the American people to put pressure on Kamala Harris to answer for the devastating impact that the immigration policies she’s championed for nearly four years now have had on southern states and cities.
