The Left is starting to eat their own. And with the election right around the corner, it couldn’t come at a worse time.
And now a leading Democrat turned on Kamala in a stunning act of defiance.
“Squad” member Ilhan Omar’s GOP challenger is sounding the alarm about Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, arguing that his policies are just as far-left as those of the controversial congresswoman.
Dalia Al-Aqidi, who is challenging Omar in the upcoming election, warned that Walz is fully aligned with Omar’s extreme progressive agenda.
“He’s behind her 100%,” Al-Aqidi told Fox News Digital, emphasizing the close ties between Walz and Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar.
“Look at the Squad,” Al-Aqidi said. “The first politicians who supported his nomination were the far-left, with the progressives posting on social media the photos of Walz.”
Al-Aqidi pointed out that Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison also celebrated Walz’s nomination, signaling just how deep the progressive influence runs in the state.
“They were celebrating this, thinking that this is good for our country. No, we don’t want socialism in our country. It failed in its origins. It’s not going to help here,” she added.
Al-Aqidi, who fled Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship in Iraq before building a career as a journalist in the U.S., criticized the media portrayal of Walz as a “moderate” politician.
“Saying Walz is moderate is just like saying Ilhan Omar is pro-Israel,” she quipped, cutting through the narrative with a sharp comparison.
Al-Aqidi argued that Walz wasn’t chosen for his supposed “moderate” stance, but because his policies align with those of the far-left.
“If we look at what happened in our district in Minneapolis, or at least for the past three years, it’s because of Governor Walz’s policies. It was on his watch when the whole world watched our city being burned, and he didn’t do anything,” she said.
“He didn’t support our law enforcement. He didn’t support us. Look at the violence rates and the crime rates—we are suffering,” Al-Aqidi continued.
“I invite everybody who supports Walz to come and see Minneapolis and see how sad our downtown is, let alone the scandals, let alone the corruption. He’s far from a moderate.”
Al-Aqidi also drew a direct connection between Walz and VP Harris, noting that both have a history of supporting radical actions.
She reminded voters that Harris promoted a fundraiser to bail out BLM rioters and that Walz waited days to call in the National Guard during the Minneapolis riots.
According to Al-Aqidi, the combination of Harris and Walz on a presidential ticket is “going to turn into” the disaster that is Minnesota’s 5th District.
“If they are in charge, she supported bailing the criminals who were detained after the riots and after the burning and destruction…so I think that this is the first time in American history that we have two very far-left progressives on the ticket. This is very dangerous,” Al-Aqidi warned.
Omar and Walz have long praised each other, with Omar quickly celebrating Walz’s nomination as vice president on social media, proudly posting a photo alongside the governor.
“Our North Star state Governor has signed universal school meals, paid family and sick leave, marijuana legalization, and protections for reproductive rights into law,” Omar boasted on X, as if these radical policies were something to be proud of. “Bringing Minnesota nice to the ticket.”
Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris-Walz campaign and Omar’s office for comment but received no response.
Minnesota’s primaries are set for August 13th, where Al-Aqidi is running unopposed, and Omar is expected to breeze past her three Democratic challengers.
