Marco Rubio confirms the United States is at war in this historic speech

The United States has plenty of firepower. And we aren’t going to take anyone’s threat laying down.

Now Marco Rubio confirmed the United States is at war in this historic speech.

Decisive Action to Protect American Communities

President Donald Trump’s administration is taking bold, proactive steps to safeguard the United States from the scourge of drug cartels, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio signaling that these efforts are just the beginning.

Speaking at a press conference in Mexico on Wednesday, Rubio emphasized the U.S.’s unwavering commitment to stopping narco-terrorists before their deadly drugs reach American soil.

“Interdiction doesn’t work because these drug cartels — what they do is they know they’re going to lose 2% of their cargo. They bake it into their economics,” Rubio declared. “What will stop them is when you blow them up. You get rid of them.”

Precision Strikes Against Narco-Terrorist Threats

The Trump administration’s aggressive stance was exemplified by a recent U.S. military strike on a Venezuelan vessel operated by the Tren de Aragua cartel, a designated foreign terrorist organization.

U.S. intelligence confirmed the boat was transporting drugs toward the United States, prompting President Trump to order a kinetic strike in international waters within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility.

“Instead of interdicting it, on the president’s orders, we blew it up, and it will happen again,” Rubio affirmed, pointing to the administration’s shift from passive interdiction to decisive action.

The strike, which neutralized 11 narco-terrorists without any U.S. casualties, serves as a powerful deterrent to those who seek to flood American communities with poison.

Trump reinforced this message on Truth Social, warning, “Please let this serve as notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America. BEWARE!”

Strengthening Regional Security and Cooperation

Rubio’s remarks came during discussions with Mexican leaders focused on enhancing cooperation to combat illegal immigration and transnational crime, demonstrating the U.S.’s leadership in fostering regional stability.

The administration’s deployment of naval forces to the Southern Caribbean, near Venezuela, underscores its commitment to disrupting cartel operations at their source.

Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, accused of rigging elections and heading the narco-terrorist Cartel of the Suns, has decried these actions as a threat, with a $50 million U.S. bounty on his head for his alleged role in drug trafficking.

Far from seeking regime change, as Maduro claims, the Trump administration’s actions are a necessary response to protect American citizens and uphold national security against the clear and present danger posed by narco-terrorist organizations.
