Pelosi has officially lost it. She’s gone on yet another crazy rant.
And Nancy Pelosi exploded on a reporter in a disturbing scene outside the Capitol.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi exploded in anger when confronted by a reporter about her role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol events, especially why she didn’t call in the National Guard sooner. The fiery exchange happened as she carefully made her way down the Capitol steps, leaning on an aide for support.
The 85-year-old California Democrat whipped around, jabbing her finger right in the face of the LindellTV reporter. She looked furious at the idea that a fresh Republican investigation might pin some blame on her for the chaos that day.
“Shut up!” Pelosi said. “I did not refuse the National Guard. The president didn’t send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you are a serious journalist?”
This outburst comes amid growing scrutiny from Republicans who argue that Democrat leaders like Pelosi worried too much about how things looked after the 2020 Black Lives Matter unrest. A 2022 House GOP report pointed out that those concerns kept National Guard troops away from the Capitol on January 6.
Fast forward to last year, when the GOP-controlled House Committee on Administration dropped bombshell video clips. These showed Pelosi herself confessing multiple times that she dropped the ball on Capitol security during the riot.
The videos were captured by none other than Pelosi’s own daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, who was filming for an HBO documentary right in the thick of the action on January 6.
“We have totally failed. We have to take some responsibility for not holding the security accountable for what could have happened,” Pelosi said.
“Oh my God, I cannot believe the stupidity of this. And I take the full responsibility.”
In another heated moment caught on tape, Pelosi snapped at a senior aide who suggested calling in reinforcements only after the breach had already started.
“You’re gonna ask me in the middle of the thing, when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff, ‘Should we call the Capitol Police?’? I mean the National Guard. Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” Pelosi stated.
The aide tried to explain that the Guard thought they had enough manpower on hand, but Pelosi wasn’t buying it.
“It’s not a question of how they had … they don’t know! They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more.”
Now, Georgia Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk is heading up a new select subcommittee under the House Judiciary Committee to dig deeper into what really went wrong on January 6.
“While Dems seem keen on playing political games and doubling down on the predetermined political narrative of Pelosi’s former committee, Republicans will continue to pursue the facts in an objective manner no matter where they lead,” Loudermilk stated.
“The American people deserve a complete and accurate account of the security failures that occurred on January 6, so this level of security failure never happens again.”
This push for truth stands in stark contrast to the Pelosi-orchestrated select committee that wrapped up in December 2022 after 18 months of probing. Their massive 814-page report slammed Donald Trump, claiming he masterminded a “multi-part conspiracy” to flip the 2020 election results.
Republicans charge that Pelosi’s committee was nothing more than a partisan witch hunt, ignoring key failures in Democrat leadership while fixating on Trump.
As this new investigation ramps up, it’s clear that Pelosi’s defensive meltdown only fuels the fire for those demanding real accountability from the Washington elite.
For too long, insiders like Pelosi have dodged blame, pointing fingers at everyone else while their own lapses get swept under the rug.
