Trump just hammered the final nail in Nancy Pelosi’s coffin

Pelosi has lost all semblance of power. And she’s on her way out.

Now Trump just hammered the final nail in Nancy Pelosi’s coffin.

President Donald Trump delivered a historic State of the Union address that shattered records for length and impact, only to face petty sniping from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whose criticisms seem more rooted in lingering resentment than substantive analysis—highlighting her ongoing disconnect from the priorities of everyday Americans.

Trump Shatters His Own SOTU Record with Marathon Speech

Clocking in at an unprecedented 1 hour and 48 minutes, Trump’s February 25, address eclipsed his previous benchmark of 1 hour and 40 minutes from the year before, cementing his place in history with three of the top five longest State of the Union speeches ever.

Surpassing even Bill Clinton’s lengthy orations from 2000 (1 hour, 29 minutes) and 1995 (1 hour, 25 minutes), Trump’s delivery also set an unofficial record with 10,599 words.

The speech wove together themes of national strength, border security, and economic revival, earning bipartisan applause for proposals like restricting congressional stock trading—yet it drew ire from Pelosi, who dismissed the comprehensive overview as insufficiently focused.

Pelosi’s Tone-Deaf ‘Lazy’ Critique Ignores Patriotic Tributes

In a post-speech interview on MSNBC, Pelosi lambasted the address as overly indulgent in honoring American heroes and victims, conveniently overlooking how such recognitions underscore the nation’s resilience under Trump’s leadership.

She stated, “I thought the speech was lazy,” and added, “It’s one thing to acknowledge patriotism and people getting well and everything when you have absolutely nothing to do with their courage or the rest. But you spend an hour and a half doing it — what is the state of the nation?”

Her complaints targeted heartfelt moments like tributes to the gold-medal-winning Team USA men’s hockey team, Purple Heart recipient U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, Gold Star parents of U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom k*lled by an Afghanistan war refugee, and Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk—elements that resonated with audiences but apparently grated on Pelosi’s sensibilities.

Trump Calls Out Pelosi Directly on Insider Trading Hypocrisy

During the address, Trump seized the moment to spotlight ethical reforms, taking a pointed swipe at Pelosi amid discussions of congressional accountability—a jab that exposed her vulnerabilities on issues like stock trading scandals that have plagued her tenure.

He declared, “Let’s also ensure that members of Congress cannot corruptly profit from using insider information… Did Nancy Pelosi stand up – if she’s here – doubt it. Pass the Stop Insider Trading Act without delay.”

The bill, boasting 91 Republican and just two Democratic co-sponsors, addresses long-standing concerns about lawmakers enriching themselves through privileged info, and Trump’s callout amplified questions about Pelosi’s resistance to such transparency measures, further diminishing her credibility in the eyes of reform-minded voters.
