U.S. senator just accused the president of doing this terrible thing

Politicians are always trying to attack Trump. It’s one of their favorite things to do.

And a U.S. senator just accused the president of doing this terrible thing.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland took to MS NOW’s All In this week to launch another round of attacks on President Donald Trump, claiming the commander-in-chief “completely disrespects the men and women of our military.”

The Maryland Democrat did not hold back as he tried to pin every complication in the region on Trump’s leadership.

Van Hollen declared, “Donald Trump knew from the outset that these were all foreseeable risks, likely risks. And yet he decided to to go for it anyway. And here we are. This is the war that Donald Trump said we had won five months ago.”

“The war that he said would be over in four or five weeks. Turned out he was wrong. It turns out that Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel was wrong. It turns out that U.S. intelligence was right. But Donald Trump decided to once again ignore his own intelligence agencies.”

Right populists have heard this song before. Career politicians in Washington love to second-guess decisive action while they sit safely in studio chairs.

Van Hollen’s remarks fit the pattern of Democratic senators who treat every American strength abroad as a liability and every delay as proof that Trump somehow failed the troops.

He continued his assault by claiming regional partners are walking away from America.

“I think that our partners in the region are losing trust in the United States by the day. I mean, after all, Donald Trump kept changing the story on them. So they’re looking around the world and finding China may be a more reliable partner. So this is hurting the United States. It is hurting our troops,” Van Hollen stated.

“You mentioned the the ships that are staying in the area. Of course, the Abraham Lincoln was another example how Donald Trump completely disrespects the men and women of our military, you know, didn’t care about what their parents had to say.”

“So I think Chris is doing damage to the country economically. It’s doing damage to our own military and yes, it’s doing damage to our credibility around the region in the world.”

The idea that Beijing offers a more reliable partnership than the United States under Trump is pure fantasy pushed by those who spent years outsourcing American power.

China does not send carrier groups to deter aggression. China does not bleed for freedom of navigation. China extracts resources and builds debt traps.

Van Hollen’s warning that allies are shopping for Chinese reliability only reveals how little faith some Democrats place in American strength.
