U.S. troops are breathing a sigh of relief after what this Republican said

The GOP are calming nerves. This is what everyone wanted to hear.

And U.S. troops are breathing a sigh of relief after what this Republican said.

In a bold show of American resolve, President Donald Trump is not backing down in the face of Iranian aggression, and his tough stance is already yielding results as Operation Epic Fury presses forward in the region. The Strait of Hormuz remains a key focus, with American leadership determined to keep vital shipping lanes open without unnecessary entanglements.

Republican Representative Mike Turner of Ohio appeared on ABC’s This Week Sunday to address the situation head on.

When host George Stephanopoulos inquired if it was realistic to expect the Strait of Hormuz to open back up “naturally” or if it would necessitate “ground troops,” the congressman delivered a strong rebuttal rooted in reality.

“In any conflict, certainly, Iran is going to have some things that they’re going to be able to do, during the conflict — but, if you don’t undertake the conflict, if you just step back and watch, as the Obama administration was going to do while Iran became a nuclear power, and they became North Korea, we wouldn’t be looking at the Strait of Hormuz,” Turner explained.

His words cut through the noise, highlighting how past hesitation nearly allowed a nightmare scenario to unfold. Weak policies from previous Democrat leaders left the world vulnerable to blackmail by the Iranian regime.

Stephanopoulos followed up, asking if the Strait of Hormuz can “be reopened without American ground troops.” Turner responded directly that he did not “think U.S. ground troops” are required to achieve the objective.

“I think, certainly you’re seeing that even as this conflict evolves, that that is being put in place,” Turner said.

“I don’t think U.S. ground troops are going to be necessary in any direct conflict.”

The Strait of Hormuz serves as a lifeline for global energy supplies, and its closure would hammer American consumers with higher fuel costs while enriching hostile actors abroad.

For years, feckless Washington insiders allowed Iran to build up its capabilities, dreaming of some fantasy diplomatic breakthrough that never materialized.

President Trump rejected that failed path from the start, opting instead for maximum pressure to force a real change in behavior from Tehran.

With Turner confirming that ground forces won’t be required, it proves the strategy is working smartly – leveraging American technological superiority and resolve to get the job done efficiently.

Hardworking Americans deserve a President who puts their security and prosperity first, and right now, that’s exactly what they’re getting as Iran learns the hard way that the era of American weakness is over.
