And this conservative was just assaulted at a speaking event by a Leftist mob.
If twenty years ago you had told the average American that there would be a raging debate over whether to allow biological men to compete in Women’s sports, you would’ve been laughed at.
But that’s one of the major battles between conservative and liber politicians across the country.
With the advent of athletes self-identifying as transgender, Americans have been witnesses to biological men breaking women’s sports records left and right.
One of the major stories came when William Thomas, now Lia Thomas, announced their transition from male to female.
Immediately after switching from the men’s college swimming team to women’s, Thomas skyrocketed from 554th in the nation for the 200 freestyle event to fifth.
The obvious advantage biological men have over women has led many women to speak out against the NCAA’s policy.
But now they’re getting physically attacked for their outspoken beliefs.
Riley Gaines, a former NCAA women’s swimming star, was reportedly “ambushed” and “hit by a man wearing a dress” on Thursday at San Francisco State University after making a speech about defending women’s sports at a Turning Point USA and Leadership Institute event on campus.
Gaines posted a video on social media showing her being escorted out of the event by police officers and ushered into another room at San Francisco State while violent left-wing activists yelled, “Trans rights are human rights!”

Gaines’ husband, Louis Barker, stated that he chatted with her while she was trapped in the room for about three hours.
“She told me she was hit multiple times by a guy in a dress. I was shaking. It made me that mad,” he said. “It makes me sick to feel so helpless about it. She was under police protection and was still hit by a man wearing a dress.”
“Riley Gaines spoke at San Francisco State University to share her personal story of competing against a biological male athlete, Lia Thomas, at the Women’s NCAA Swimming Championships last year,” Gaines’ agent Eli Bremer told Fox News.
“In the past year, her goal in speaking at universities has been to educate her peers about her experience and what the impact of the growing number of biological males in women’s sports will do to the integrity of Title IX,” Bremer continued.
“Instead of a thoughtful discussion tonight at SFSU, Riley was violently accosted, shouted at, physically assaulted, and barricaded in a room by protestors,” he added. “It is stunning that in America in 2023, it is acceptable for biological male students to violently assault a woman for standing up for women’s rights.”
Gaines’ agent went on to say that “this will not stop Riley from boldly educating people of the dangers of biological males in women’s sports. She will continue to speak the truth against the radical left that no longer understands the difference between men and women.”

More video showed radical transgender activists swarming around the room Gaines was confined in, yelling at authorities stationed outside the door.

Another video appears to show transgender activists holding Gaines captive in the barricaded room, demanding that she pay the mob members $10 each in order to be allowed to leave.
