Former President Obama has been out of office for years. But he’s still involved in top Democrat politics.
And now Barack Obama has made a startling confession to his closest allies.
Reportedly, one of President Biden’s most trusted advisers is becoming increasingly worried about his chances of being re-elected in 2024.
Ex-President Obama is among the Left-wingers who are afraid of a Republican takeover, based on a Wall Street Journal article published this month. If the polls are to be believed, GOP nominee Donald Trump is headed for re-election.
According to the article, Obama is aware that the campaign is likely to be closely contested and believes that Democrats have a good chance of losing. The source of this information was identified as someone “familiar with his thinking.”
It has been stated that the former president is concerned that the Republican candidate who could succeed Biden would pose a “pretty dangerous threat for democracy.”
Adding his voice to the conversation on Monday’s Outnumbered, Bill Hemmer of Fox News stated his belief that the Obamas will join together in late 2024 to endorse Biden.
“I think it’s entirely too early right now, too. And these numbers are going to change, too,” he claimed, referring to Joe Biden’s sinking approval ratings.
In hypothetical elections against GOP aspirants, Biden’s approval rating and poll ratings have been consistently abysmal, which has Obama worried.
Just 43% of eligible voters are happy with the president’s performance, while 57% are unhappy, according to a recent Fox News poll.
According to recent polls conducted by Fox, Biden is in third place, behind leading Republican rival Donald Trump and former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley. Haley has the highest lead at six points.
Despite being four points behind Trump, Biden is in a stalemate with Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, and is thought of as one of the top three contenders for the nomination.
The release of a poll by Monmouth University on Monday brought even more terrible news for Biden: his approval rating hit 34% according to the poll, his lowest point to date.
In addition to external threats, Biden must contend with internal party strife caused by those who disagree with his approach to the Israel-Hamas conflict. Americans are still worried about his health and mental capacity to handle a second term in office, as well as the state of the economy.
“I would say that because of the condition of the economy, the condition of the world, everything’s on fire. The usual details might not even matter so much when it comes to how people are making their decisions. It’s not a casual decision now because the future seems to be cloudy,” argues a contributor for Fox News, Tammy Bruce.
According to the most recent Fox News poll from 2016, there is a noticeable trend of individuals, especially independents, gravitating towards Trump in the United States.
“Hillary was still ahead, but in the tabs, the independents by double digits had moved to Trump. That’s when I knew he would win,” Bruce added.
Like Trump’s impact on Republicans, OutKick presenter Tomi Lahren referred to former President Obama as a “kingmaker” inside the Democratic Party, emphasizing the significance of Obama’s backing for incumbent President Biden.
In reference to the House impeachment investigation and the most recent indictment against Biden’s son Hunter, Lahren speculated that “this Obama part is more important than maybe we even understand.” She, and many others, believe that just how much Obama backs Biden could be a deciding factor for the 2024 election.
