Barack Obama just made one phone call that changed the 2024 election

When Biden stepped down from his campaign, Obama didn’t endorse Harris. Now we know why.

As Barack Obama just made one phone call that flips the 2024 election upside down.

It was curious why Barack Obama and Michelle Obama did not endorse Kamala Harris right after Joe Biden announced that he would no longer be seeking a second term in the White House. All the other Democrats were announcing their support for her to be anointed as the queen of the Democrat Party, despite the fact that she’s never earned a single delegate in any national election.

Some were suggesting that Barack Obama would be waiting for the eggs to hatch after the Democrat National Convention in August before he weighed in. Others suggested that he was trying to work behind the scenes to get someone else to be the Democrat nominee, given there were reports that Barack Obama wasn’t fond of her as a VP pick for Joe Biden back in 2020.

Well now the rumors are put to bed. Barack Obama has endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, but it’s how this news hit that is noteworthy. We now know why the Obamas delayed their endorsement. They wanted to use it as a photo and video opportunity for Kamala Harris. It’s all just theater to them.

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama called Kamala Harris to share with her the news of their endorsement, meanwhile the expensive cameras were rolling catching the moment to share all over the internet later.

In a recent declaration of unwavering support, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama pledged their commitment to backing Vice President Kamala Harris in the forthcoming presidential election. During a phone call, the Obamas assured Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, that they would do everything within their power to help secure her victory and sustain the legacy established by the Biden administration.

Barack Obama expressed his confidence and enthusiasm during the call, stating, “The main thing we wanted to do was just let you know and let Doug know, our soon-to-be first gentleman, that we are going to do everything we can to help propel you into the presidency and continue the amazing legacy that you, Joe Biden, and you have been able to establish. Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” as per a transcript obtained by Politico.

Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Obama noted that Harris would be an “underdog” in the race against former President Donald Trump. He stressed the importance of earning the trust of voters nationwide, saying, “We’re gonna be underdogs, you know, and you are gonna have to continue, as you said, to earn, not just the nomination but earn the trust of folks all across this country. But knowing you as we do, we’re absolutely confident that you’re gonna be able to make it happen. And I wanna make sure that we’re sending a message out to not just Democrats but every American – Democrat, Republican, Independent, and especially young people – that the stakes are high, and your vision for a generous, inclusive, positive, community-minded, responsible, lawful America.”

Michelle Obama also expressed her admiration and support for Harris, emphasizing the “historic” nature of her candidacy. “I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala. I am proud of you. This is going to be historic. And the energy out there, I mean, it’s really changed the game in a major way, and that’s because of you,” she said. “The energy you bring, your positivity, your sense of humor. Your record of inclusion, of uniting people together. I mean, that’s what’s got me excited, and I think it’s what’s got the country excited. So, I join with my husband. We’ve got your back. We have you and Doug’s back. It’s gonna be a fight. But you know, I think the country is ready for something special, and I think that something special is you.”

The Obamas also took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to publicly endorse Harris. Barack Obama posted on X, “Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support. At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us.” Michelle Obama echoed this sentiment, posting, “I’m so proud of my girl, Kamala. Barack and I are so excited to endorse her as the Democratic nominee because of her positivity, sense of humor, and ability to bring light and hope to people all across the country. We’ve got your back, @KamalaHarris!”

As the race intensifies, Harris currently trails Trump by 1.9% in a national head-to-head matchup, according to the RealClearPolling average of polls from July 5 to July 24. The gap widens to 2.8% when including Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent presidential candidates Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in the surveys.

The Democrats Are All Theater, No Substance

This is just a tiny microcosm that shows just how much Democrats care about the theater of Kamala Harris’ candidacy rather than the substance of making any real progress for improving the lives of Americans.

All you’re going to hear about for the next three months is about how Kamala Harris is a “historic” candidate while her qualifications are never discussed. Americans are begging for a candidate who actually knows what they are doing, not a DEI pick, as many have been saying about Kamala Harris in the past few years.

The truth is this may all backfire. The voters in swing states like Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nevada are unlikely to be persuaded by just being told that Kamala Harris is some spectacular and unprecedented candidate.

The polls so far prove this as well with Trump still leading Kamala Harris in all of the swing states, on average. Don’t be surprised if Kamala ends up falling flat on her face come November.
