Democrats are in trouble for 2028 thanks to this all-time blunder

The Left wants to take back the White House in 2028. But that may be a pipe dream at this point.

And Democrats are in trouble for 2028 thanks to this all-time blunder.

In the wild world of Democratic politics, it looks like common sense is on life support when it comes to basic biology. A fresh report from Axios reveals that out of almost 20 potential 2028 presidential contenders, just one had the guts to flat-out admit that a man can’t turn into a woman.

Axios grilled these top Democrats on hot-button transgender topics, like whether boys who identify as girls should dominate female sports, if kids under 18 deserve puberty blockers and hormones, and the straightforward zinger: “Can a man become a woman?”

Most of them clammed up tighter than a vault. Big names like Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, JB Pritzker from Illinois, and California’s Gavin Newsom all dodged the spotlight on this one.

The lone voice of reason? Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. He stood firm, echoing his stance from last year: a man can’t become a woman, and biological boys have no place in girls’ sports.

It’s refreshing to see at least one Democrat willing to call it like it is, without twisting into a pretzel to appease the radical left.

Then there’s Pennsylvania’s Josh Shapiro, who at least chimed in. He stuck to his guns on letting local sports bosses handle transgender athlete rules.

But personally, Shapiro made it clear: trans kids shouldn’t get an “unfair advantage on the playing field.” That’s a step in the right direction, even if it’s wrapped in bureaucracy.

Pete Buttigieg, the ex-Transportation Secretary, didn’t dive in fresh either. His team pointed Axios back to an old NPR chat.

In that interview, Buttigieg admitted there are “serious fairness issues” in the transgender sports debate and pushed for more compassion toward people who identify as transgender.

Now, Gavin Newsom—California’s golden boy and likely 2028 frontrunner—got cornered on his own podcast by conservative firebrand Ben Shapiro.

Shapiro pressed him hard on whether boys can become girls, accusing Newsom of dodging like a pro.

Newsom fumbled big time: “Yeah, I just don’t — Well, I think, for the grace of God. Yeah.”

When Shapiro pushed why it was so tough to answer straight, Newsom pivoted to numbers and said that they were only referring to a small amount of people.

He rambled on: “We’re talking about so few people that are struggling with gender identity issues. A lot of remarkable people, a lot of wildly successful people, and they’ve gone on in their life to have incredible lives. I don’t know. There’s so much hate and bigotry, so much condemnation.”

Classic Newsom—turning a simple yes-or-no into a sermon on tolerance while ignoring the real victims, like female athletes getting sidelined.

This whole mess shows how the Democratic elite is terrified of their own base. They’re more worried about offending the woke crowd than protecting kids and women’s rights.

If Democrats can’t answer basic questions about reality, how can they lead a nation?

It’s time for leaders who prioritize truth over trends, and protect the vulnerable without erasing biological facts.
