Biden’s poll numbers for the 2024 election are concerning. He’s going to be in the fight of his life in his attempt to win a second term.
And Joe Biden gets smacked with a stark warning from a former Obama adviser about the 2024 election.
President Biden’s presidency has undoubtedly been a disaster.
His approval numbers prove that Americans believe this as well.
And former Barack Obama senior adviser David Axelrod is worried that Biden’s record low approval rating could sink his reelection chances.
A newly released Wall Street Journal (WSJ) poll has the president’s approval rating at only 37%. 61% of respondents view Biden negatively.
Axelrod says that these numbers are “very, very dark” for any chance of President Biden winning a second term to the Oval Office.
The former Obama adviser made those comments while appearing on a podcast episode of Hacks on Tap.
“Job approval down, ratings generally down, most of the comparatives with Trump not good,” Axelrod said.
“What I worry about, you guys, from a Biden standpoint, is these are the kinds of things you get when people are starting to rationalize their votes.”
“And they just put out another photo op with the ‘Bidenomics’ sign next to him…it’s just unbelievable to me,” he continued.
Of the 1,500 voters who responded to the WSJ poll, the majority of them agreed with Donald Trump’s stance on the economy, border security, and inflation.
Abortion was the only issue in which voters agreed with Biden over Trump.
The WSJ poll also shows Trump leading President Biden 47% to 43% in a head-to-head matchup.
Trump leads the president 37% to 31% with five candidates on the ballot who are independent.
These numbers should absolutely terrify Democrats.
They seem to have spooked some members of the Left like Axelrod, who has recently called for President Biden to consider bowing out of the race.
Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it's in HIS best interest or the country's?

And while Axelrod’s comments on the aging president have been shot down by Biden himself, he has a valid point. Joe Biden’s unpopularity could very well lead to a Republican in the White House for the first time in four years.
