Vice President Kamala Harris thought she was on top of the world. Now she’s been dragged back to reality.
Because Kamala Harris was dealt a massive 2024 Presidential election blow.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Withdraws from Wyoming Ballot
Former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has officially withdrawn his name from Wyoming’s general election ballot. The Wyoming Secretary of State’s office confirmed this development on Thursday, following Kennedy’s notification of intent to withdraw on Wednesday.
Kennedy initially entered the presidential race as a Democrat in April 2023. However, he consistently voiced criticism towards the party for its support of President Joe Biden and the lack of primary debates. In October, he made the decision to run as an independent candidate.
On August 23, Kennedy announced the suspension of his campaign and offered his endorsement to Republican nominee Donald Trump in the race for the White House. Since then, he has been actively working to remove his name from ballots in several states. He is intentionally removing his name from important states in order to help Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in November.
Wyoming’s Response To RFK’s Race Departure
Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray stated, “Following his notice of withdrawal, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will not appear on the ballot as a presidential candidate in Wyoming.” Gray further emphasized the office’s commitment to transparency, saying, “Our office is dedicated to providing continued, transparent service to the people of Wyoming.”
On September 4th, RFK, Jr. notified the Wyoming Secretary of State that he intended to withdraw his name from the 2024 General Election ballot in Wyoming. Kennedy’s campaign has seen varied results in their efforts to remove his name from ballots across the country. There are a few states where Democrats are fighting to keep him on the ballots.
So far, Kennedy has successfully removed his name from the ballots in the states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
At the time, he will reportedly remain on the ballots in the two states of Michigan and Wisconsin. It is unlikely he will be able to remove his name from the ballots in these states as the decisions came by court orders.
It remains to be seen whether North Carolina will be able to remove Kennedy’s name from the ballot ahead of November (Kennedy’s lawyer plans to appeal a judge’s decision to keep his name on the ballot).
As the 2024 presidential race continues to evolve, Kennedy’s withdrawal from the Wyoming ballot marks another significant shift in the political landscape.
Robert F. Kennedy’s Withdrawal And Endorsement; A Massive Headache For Harris & Democrats
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent endorsement of Donald Trump could significantly impact the 2024 presidential race. As a prominent independent candidate, Kennedy’s support for Trump may sway a considerable portion of voters who were previously undecided or leaning towards other candidates.
Kennedy’s backing may attract voters who were hesitant to support Trump but admired Kennedy’s campaign. This could include independents and even some Democrats who were drawn to Kennedy’s anti-establishment message.
Both Trump and Kennedy have positioned themselves as outsiders challenging the political status quo. It’s no surprise the two have ended up locking arms to beat what is the most clear example of an establishment candidate in Kamala Harris.
While the full impact of Kennedy’s endorsement remains to be seen, it has the potential to be a significant factor in the 2024 presidential race, potentially shifting the balance in Trump’s favor in what is expected to be a closely contested election.
