Kamala Harris caught in illegal quid-pro-quo campaign scheme

Vice President Kamala Harris is looking for all the help she can get. But she’s made a mistake.

Because the Kamala Harris campaign has been caught in an illegal quid-pro-quo campaign scheme.

In late 2022, the Biden-Harris administration allocated a significant subsidy to BYD Americas, a company with ties to China, under the Clean School Bus program. Specifically, BYD Americas received $395,000 in October 2022, as revealed by documents from the Environmental Protection Agency.

Just about a year later, on November 14, 2023, Ke Li, the president of BYD Americas, contributed tens of thousands of dollars to support President Joe Biden’s reelection efforts. Notably, these funds were later redirected to Vice President Kamala Harris after Biden exited the race, as indicated by campaign finance disclosures.

The Biden-Harris administration has positioned its electric vehicle initiatives as essential for revitalizing American manufacturing while also addressing the rising economic influence of China. However, a closer look suggests that many of these subsidies may inadvertently benefit Chinese firms, with taxpayer dollars flowing to companies like BYD.

Li’s financial support included a notable $33,400 donation to the Biden Victory Fund, which has since been rebranded as the Harris Victory Fund. Additionally, she made two contributions of $3,300 each to the Biden campaign, now the Harris campaign, all on the same day.

This pattern of donations is not new for Li, who has previously supported politicians that have facilitated taxpayer-funded contracts for her company. For instance, during the COVID-19 pandemic, California Governor Gavin Newsom awarded BYD a $990 million no-bid contract to supply masks, despite the company having no prior experience in manufacturing personal protective equipment. Li contributed a total of $50,000 to Newsom’s gubernatorial campaigns in 2018 and 2022.

Li is identified by her company as a Chinese national, although she holds documents suggesting she has a “right of abode” in the United States. While foreign nationals typically cannot contribute to U.S. political campaigns, green card holders are permitted to do so, according to Federal Election Commission regulations.

BYD, the parent company of BYD Americas, is also linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, a broad infrastructure project aimed at enhancing China’s global influence, as noted by the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, the company benefits from subsidies provided by the Chinese government.

On September 11, Congress initiated an investigation into BYD and other Chinese automakers amid concerns regarding espionage. Records reveal that other executives at BYD Americas and the company itself have made substantial donations to Democratic candidates and pro-Democratic organizations, aligning with the broader push to expand electric vehicle infrastructure in the United States.

As the Biden-Harris administration continues to funnel hundreds of millions into electric vehicle initiatives like the production of electric school buses, questions arise about the implications for American public schools, which struggle with inadequate academic performance.

Kamala Harris Strong Financials Come Into Question

No doubt, since Kamala Harris has entered the race, she’s had strong fundraising numbers every single month. That being said, some questions surrounding her ethics of fundraising have been raised.

She’s been backed by many billionaires who have been putting up millions upon millions of dollars for her campaign, but to what end? We know that billionaires funding campaigns usually want kickbacks and promises given to them in exchange. Well, according to Mark Cuban, his expectation is that Kamala Harris will get rid of the FTC’s Lina Khan to prevent her from being able to break up corporate oligarchies.

Mark Cuban also allegedly talks with Kamala Harris directly very frequently, according to new reports.

Kamala Harris is a very typical politician who will do or say anything to get campaign funds to keep her career in politics alive. She’s the ultimate big government, “play the game” politician and it’s shown this election cycle.
